So I managed to get one win on Vintage Prodigy, but I am having no luck getting more wins. I'd like the 5 wins prize. I just want to be able to beat the Maliss Bopper :/
These are my available weapons:
And scrolls: x 3 I've tried combinations of them to block out the massive amounts of icons Vintage Prodigy dishes out and to stall out the bopper.
With Vintage Prodigy I've been trying Freeze+Staff (or Cutlass) on the first turn, blasting, and then trying to get his health down and healing as necessary.
With Maliss Bopper I blast on the first turn and use up Cobalt Eternal Scrolls while using the Maliss Cannon and Malignant Rift Staff.
Is it worth it to make a few Sancturia exodin scrolls?

For vintage prodigy, you will want something that blocks a lot of dark, water or fire. Your pirate cutlass might work, but he blocks water. Here are some other options to try:
blocks some water, small chance to freeze small amount of water/fire block, 5% heal chance to activate blessing that blocks all water blocks a lot of dark blocks some dark, will heal your pet if you have 2,500+ defense blocks a lot of fire blocks dark but offers no attack
Scrolls that are good against him are and your divine denizhen. Cobalt scrolls are good for the dark block.
With the maliss bopper it's all about blocking as much as you can. In addition to scrolls you can try
For attackers, you could try or that can be bought in the battle shop
is worth borrowing if you can find one, it'll be your best friend and useful in both fights
I have a low T10 pet and will post here what I typed up for someone else for Vintage Prodigy. My strategy revolved around freezing (primarily with scrolls.) You have a pretty reasonable set of weapons up there, but I'm not sure what your pet's AP looks like...
In terms of freezing, I had 2 Shriek of Despair Scrolls, an Energized Helmet, and 1 borrowed Psycho Smasher Scroll. (So that's 4 almost certain freezes.) I also have my Gelaspell Scroll, Captured Eternal Flame, and UltimaPlus Tag. (All of these have low-moderate chances to freeze.) My goal was to start chain freezing. If luck smiled on me, I could freeze and hit all the way down, and VP would never get a chance to hit back. It was glorious.
So, swing with Shinwas Temple Shard + main hitter + SoD. (Prevents VP from 1-shotting, and starts the icy party.) Then bomb + main hitter + SoD. Then 2 main hitters + Psycho Smasher. Then main hitter + 100% freezer + attack scroll. (I used both the Helmet and Scientist Specs for my 100%.) Then try to get lucky. Main hitter + Captured Eternal Flame + Gelaspell. If lucky, main hitter + Ultimaplus + Gelaspell. 2 main hitters + Gelaspell til oblivion.
(I also had a Rainbow Vortex that I would throw in when he first unfroze. Pair that with the Captured Eternal or Ultima + Gelaspell for one last ditch effort. (RV has a low chance to freeze.)) So, since the 3 scrolls aren't 100% freeze, they could always fail. My aim was basically to just get lucky. If I could keep him frozen through my scrolls, helmet, and at least one or two hits, he'd be dead. I tied a whole lot, and lost a whole lot more.

And for the Maliss, I just loaded up on Cobalt Eternals. I have 5 CE and 1 Sancturia Exodin. Those plus blasting with my Soma and Recycle Blaster helped a ton. Then it was a matter of getting lucky. (Also Mr Cool's Battle Blog helped a bit.)
I have been visiting that stupid hustler everyday since I joined and he has yet to give me any of his weapons...lol still waiting on that elusive Amulet of Neutrality especially... if he still can give it out that is as far as I know he can never heard anyone say it had gone away...if it has it needs to come back...:P

: I have SP to buy all of those scrolls. I should probably save up some SP for freezers. Thanks though.
