So, I'm not actually sure how successful Mystic Spindles is for an intelligence granting game, but I wonder if it would be possible to grant this feature to several other games as well. I'd love to see it for Subeku.

What about 2048? It doesn't give you anything but the achievement currently. And it's a puzzle game so it would make sense.

(Just throwing another suggestion out there)

Good idea as long as we don't have to get the maximum score to earn an intelligence point.

Support. It'd make games worth playing to have something like this added as a reward, even if it's a CHANCE for intelligence points, and not a guaranteed thing. I love 's idea of doing this for 2048 too. Would finally make it worth playing.

makes a good point about scoring. I love 2048, and aiming for that target tile, but a lot of people find it hard to get that far. Plus it's time consuming. Maybe it could give points based on the highest tile you reached? 256 shouldn't be too hard for most players. One point for getting that far, and a max reward for hitting 2048. Maybe a fixed bonus if you get 4096 or higher.

Points given for Subeku could be based on which difficulty you complete.

eh... i wouldn't mind getting intel from 2048 but i can get to 256 in under a minute if i try hard enough. guaranteed intel from reaching 256 seems too low, even if there's a daily cap.

maybe the prize shop for mystic spindles could be revamped a bit so you could earn points from any game, and subeku could get another tier on the achievement that gives a booster?

Not sure how likely this is, but as long as the scaling is right I feel like it'd be really nice/good idea. The scaling could probably even be a little gentler than Mystic Spindles is at the moment, but the difficulty curves of the games might be enough.

That said, Divine Discs should really be in the running, it is based off Mastermind after all.

You might be able to but that doesn't mean everyone else can. The intel wouldn't have to be guaranteed but it would give more people a chance.

of course not, i'm well aware that i'm only good at 2048 because i've played an obnoxious amount of threes; i should've explained my position better, i'm sorry.

i do not think that, if games are given an additional prize like intel or a plushie or whatever, that those prizes should be awarded randomly. as far as i'm concerned, random/chance-based prizes don't exist and are not a particularly great incentive to replay games -- i've never seen the extra minions from net gain, for instance, and with the chance to win them seemingly so low i'm not interested in trying now that i'm done with the achievement.

i do not think a score minimum is a good idea for games like 2048 because of people like me -- if you cap the reward too low because lunatics like me can abuse it for easy intel, then it's not worth it for anyone, and if you move the goal post too high where only crazy people can earn it, same deal.

therefore, i think the best thing to do would be to connect all games to the mystic spindles shop or something similar. it's already set up to deal with high intel pets, and it has books for people to resell if they don't want to buy intel directly. staff could put out new game themed books, even.

I think this is a very good idea. High intelligence only has two real uses -

  1. The Job Agency but high paying jobs also require high stats in Level and Strength. Going for the SAI Director job is fine for battlers but I don't think all the training will appeal to everyone.

  2. Battling - AP is needed for scrolls so other ways of gaining intelligence cuts down on book buying. Not all users are into battling, though, so having books to buy for galleries, treasure chests, reading or resale would suit everyone.

I support the idea of all mind games to either give an intel point at random [much like the job agency gives stat points at random] or for the score to accumulate in the mystic spindles shop somehow. I can play mystic spindles, but given the amount of time it takes, i don't bother. other games are faster to win, and maybe easier for some players than the spindles.

i think this intel stat booster would motivate a few more users to play them - battlers, those who want to promote their pets to the top positions at the job agency, ... i don't know..

i'm sure the staff can find a way to implement this in a way that is difficult to be abused by users. [and as far as coding goes, im sure it's easy to implement]

No god damned way. Sorry, it may well only be my personal opinion, but divine discs is way too easy. I can finish that in like a minute. At least subeku takes me like fifteen.

I think 2048 is a perfect game for this, even if I still won't play it. I am very bad at it.

Although, just tying all of the games to the same shop would also work.

I think Divine Discs being way too easy is your personal opinion. I managed to get the 100 games achievement but it took me years because I often need several goes before winning a game. This means it's not way too easy for me.

Just do a full row of one color. If no matches, do a full row of a different color. If match, do first disc that color, all the rest in a different color. Drop me a comment if you still need help and i can screen cap each turn to explain more.
