Okay, now that every single quest giver is giving twice the items they usually would, I run out of space in my inventory WAY too fast. I'd really love to be able to just click a button that says "Move all to Vault" so I can dump them there to sort later and just keep questing. For me, this is especially needed because I don't have a gold account, so I can only hold 100 items. Also, sometimes I either don't have the time to sort everything out that day, or just don't want to, so this would be more effective for me to just keep doing quests and throwing the stuff in the vault until I want to take the time to sort them out (or until I HAVE time).
The only exception to this would be "Locked" items because they're locked.
: What Quickstock? The only place I've seen this is in the shop.
absolutely true, Quickstock is a shop function. Not sure why this matters?
Click the 'all' button on the top of Move to Vault after choosing Quickstock for any shop at all. Then choose 'stock now.
: How does that move items from my inventory????
Quickstock takes items from your Inventory and moves them where-ever you tell it to put them. There is a vault option.
: Thanks for telling me. I'll try it.
I still think it would be way easier to just have a single button right there in your inventory, since then I wouldn't have to go to my shop just to move the things...
You are welcome
Keep a tab open with your shop on quickstock. It's not like you aren't generating lots of new tabs or pageopens when you quest.
Putting the button on Inventory adds extra computing time onto the Inventory page, which already gets a workout. It also makes it so that stuff accidentally can go directly into your Vault whether you want it or not with a wrong click, while Quickstock is quite sophisticated. You personally like to Vault stuff, but I like to Shop stuff.
I do not support this idea of putting it on Inventory page.
you don't actually have to go into your shop. Hover over the Commerce tab, go down to Your Shops, then click on the (qs) next to any shop, that opens your quickstock screen without going into the shop itself. Or make a bookmark.

just press the little qs by any of the shop names. it's convenient because you can move all items to your shop, your vault, your wardrobe, armory, or if you have a GA, you can move all plushies to your plushie collection, minions to the minion zoo, beanbags to the beanbag collection... pretty much any collection item to that collection.
you can also donate all of the items or delete them if you want to for any reason.
I think this page is convenient enough and putting a button that moves things only from your inventory to your vault on the inventory page wouldn't really improve anything.
: Thanks for the added info.
O.O There really needs to be a tutorial on this, though...Optional shop tutorial (maybe just a page in text and with a few screenshots?) so people can find this out without having to make what amounts to a 'stupid suggestion' that no one wants anyway.
it is briefly mentioned in the faqs guide but it's nothing too in-depth :)
or you could ask in Help & Questions? We only bite if you beg us first.
: Add a link to a tutorial there for anyone interested? It might help others figure some things out which don't have easy-to-find tutorials for a few things.
: LOL! Thanks! Of course, I would have if I had known about the functions of quickstock in the first place--then I'd have know I could go "How do I work that to get my inventory cleared quickly?" Without knowing, I figured there was no way to move things quickly and easily, so I suggested an option. And my sister didn't know, either, even though she'd had a friend (a longtime player here) helping her navigate when she started. Where a person asks something (or suggests something) depends on what they know to start with.
