Spectators Forum Group
If you don't want to enter in the contest, but you are interested in seeing the entries and challenges as they come, feel free to join the subeta group SNDT Viewers.
When I post a new challenge, I will also put up a board within this forum group. You can hang out there to chat about the individual challenges. Also, since each challenge will have it's own topic, that will be the easiest place to see the challenge, the entries, and the winners, though I'll also post them in this thread.
The Current Challenge
The Task For the first challenge, we have a simple item challenge. The designers must use the following item in their HAs: [item2=Purple Butterfly Kite] Specifics To win the challenge, they must create an outfit that:
- uses the item prominently
- uses color in a cohesive way -works with the kite and is directly inspired by the kite
The Deadline Entries must be posted on the main thread by:
Sunday, September 17th by 11:59 pm Subeta Standard Time

Previous Challenge
Your current challenge is to enter the contest! Posting your favorite HA (one you've designed for another challenge, or one you've designed to wear yourself) in this board and joining the forum group SNDT Design will constitute an entry to the contest.
I will be accepting entries for approximately 2 weeks (until the end of the day, 11:59 pm Subeta time, on Sunday the 10th of September).
The Game
This will be a traditional elimination contest. Each week, an item or a theme will be announced, perhaps along with special requirements and expectations... Participants must create a HA that uses the item or theme and meets all of the requirements.
Participants may use items they own AND items they don't own. The only limitations will be those set by the challenge itself.
At the end of each challenge
- one winner will be selected who will receive a small prize (prize to be announced with the challenge)
- one participant will be asked to turn in their designer card and go home
The Exit Prizes
Prizes are to be selected from the current stock of Diamonds Under the Roof (Stock may vary)
First Place: Choice of up to 3 items worth a total of up to 20 M sp. Second Place: Choice of up to 3 items worth a total of up to 10 M sp. Third Place: Choice of up to 3 items worth a total of up to 5 M sp. Top half of contestants: Choice of 1 item worth up to 1 M sp. Bottom half of contestants: Consolation prize of a few small items off your wishlist (value depending on number of entrants)
The Round Prizes
Each round, a small prize will be announced, which will go to the winner of the challenge. This could include an item from one of my shops or a value for an item that will then be selected from the winner's wishlist.

All current contestants need to join the group SNDT Design. No longer accepting new contestants. To watch the event, however, feel free to join the spectator group above. :)

This one is from 2014. I still like it and I safed so much for the items.

Is it okay to use items we don't own to make the HA's in this contest?

Yes. You only need to post the outfit, not actually wear it, so there is no way for me to tell if you own the items or not. So, you can use any items you want (as long as they fulfill the requirements of the challenge)...
An individual challenge COULD have limitations on what items you can use, however. But it'll still be clear limitations, not ones based on what you actually own.
You don't need to have designed any of the actual items. It just has to be a HA (any HA) that you have saved in your outfits. :) If you post any HA and join the forum group, you'll be entered and able to compete in the challenges.
You have joined the group and posted an outfit, so you are officially listed as contestants. :)

I made this HA for a previous contest, it has always stood out to me for some reason. It's not something I'd usually wear but I just love how it turned out so much I wanted to reshare it.

I've been on hiatus for a while, don't remember why I made this but it's adorable.

I am on beach vacation right now and I am still very fond of this summer HA I made last year. I love to work with pink shades and hues and soft colors, tone in tone.
