What do you recommend? Should I change and/or buy new stuff? Or just keep training and come back next year?

never use the spork. wait until the wizards steal the spork, and start using the full blockers. if you run out, you can always use once you're out of full blockers, use your healers if you haven't already and hope to get lucky and survive a hit. this method is tedious, but it can provide wins when you couldn't otherwise get them

Ooh, that's clever. I'll see if I can buy a spork and get a lender for the amulet and vortex, since my funds won't be enough
