Usually it's best to change weapons based on the opponent you're trying to defeat. But on tier 4 I usually go with a default set which I use for everything, an only if there's an event going on with an opponent which is there for a limited time only, I buy specific weapons to beat it. If you keep up the training and occasionally do some battle quests, you'll gain stats relatively fast so you'll be going up in tiers pretty easily. Therefore you might not want to spend a lot of SP on the very best weapons in tier 4, but rather go for some general use ones. I see you're usually only battling to get 5 wins. You can get experience points from defeating opponents up to 10 times; with those experience points you can gain a few extra stats. I'm a fan of the in tier 4, since it heals a nice amount. The is a bit of an expensive buy, but the weapon scales, so it'll last you quite some tiers. I have a tier 13 pet and I'm still using this as my earth blocker since I haven't gotten around to buying a better one yet. The is a 100% freezer, which is nice to disable your opponents for one turn, in the following turn you could use a bomb to deal quite a bit of damage while they are frozen. The Gorgun can be bought from the battle shop with 35 hard tokens. You can get tokens from challengers past the 10th win, so if you need a couple more tokens, it might be worth to go beyond 10 wins. Bombs (usable once per battle) are optional, but can be fun to use, the is pretty nice for tier 4. The is a must, it's used by every battler with any tier pet. It heals your pet for 100% once in the battle. The is a pretty good attacker, doesn't have any heals on it though. There is the which is pretty nice for it's price. It's a once per battle item that gives you a blessing that will block a bit of damage, heal a small amount and has a chance to protect you from being frozen or having your weapons stolen. It's a tier 3 item, and you'll probably get rid of it when you hit tier 5 or 6, but since it's pretty cheap it doesn't hurt to have it around. The can be used from tier 4 on. It allows you to block all damage (except curses) for one turn. It's stupidly expensive, and not really a priority, so I'd skip it for now.

For some items which are a bit lower budget: The can be an alternative for the Gorgun. The is a pretty cheap bomb. The is an attacker that heals a bit, and the is a mediocre attacker without heals.

Sorry, I haven't really battled with a tier 4 pet for a while, so I have the feeling I'm missing some weapons. There ought to be some nice tier 4 weapons that came out in the last year or two that I missed which might be in between the super expensive stuff, and the cheap tier 3 stuff.

As for modifications, usually I mod my weapons with the to protect against being frozen, and the to prevent getting my weapons stolen. Both of these can be gotten from the battle shop. The is a bit weaker version of the baguette, but it's a lot cheaper. Both the natural armor and the parched crystals give a blessing that protects against some damage. I'm not sure how useful these are at tier 4, since there's not that many opponents that freeze or steal your stuff. The defense they provide is certainly a nice extra. I also often use the which adds a small amount of damage to your weapons, and gives them the chance to generate a curse which also helps with some extra damage. Another crystal often used for modifications is the . It adds a chance to make a critical hit with the weapon you're using. Usually, you add this onto your attacker to increase the damage output. Generally you don't put this kind of crystal on a once per battle item, since the chance to activate it on the one use is pretty small, but I'd say it's pretty ok to use on a bomb. Healing crystals are not really used since the heals are pretty small and your weapons and scrolls should be able to provide enough heals and blocks. Freezing crystals are only recommended on weapons that already have some freeze chance (not the 100% freezers ofcourse) since their chance to activate is also pretty low. All the other damage and blocking crystals can be used depending on the opponent. If you're fighting the Forj opponents, you can only damage them by doing water damage. Then it might be a good idea to add some water damage crystals to your weapons. Or if you're fighting an opponent which does a lot of earth damage, you could put some earth defense crystals on your weapons to increase your survivability.

You have a ton of AP! It might be a good idea to invest some SP in scrolls, since scrolls are not limited by tiers. So your pet with a lot of AP can use strong scrolls to win some battles in which you otherwise would not have a chance! Although scrolls can get a little expensive, but with so much AP I'd definitely try to take advantage of it. I'd recommend the to have an infinite use healing scroll (for a cheaper alternative, try the has a 5% heal and blocks quite a bit of icons which is really helpfull for smaller pets. The heals 8% but doesn't do anything else); the which is a once per battle healing scroll, that heals your pet for 1500. Until tier 9 or so, that means a full heal for your pet! falls in the same category, it's a once per battle bomb scroll that deals quite a bit of damage and heals 300 hp. For your pet that's almost a full heal. Morosbane drops from a Morostide challenger, so maybe wait a bit until October, the price on it might drop. The is one that has a chance to freeze your opponent. Very nice to get a breather in the middle of the battle, or to try to chain freeze opponents to beat them without them having the chance to do anything. It's a once per battle scroll, so you might want to get multiple of them. There are some freezing scrolls which have better freeze rates, the and but they're also much more expensive. The and are both nice defensive scrolls. Once per battle they can block quite a few icons of damage.

If you train your pet every day, you will be out of tier 4 soon and into tier 5. At these lower tiers, I would not invest in expensive weapons unless they either A) scale with your pet and get better as your pet's stats increase or B) are useful weapons even for high tier pets.

That being said, the minotaur knocker and phoenix quill mentioned are worth the investment if you have the funds. Some other cheap weapons you can look into at T4:

- chance to steal, chance to freeze and heals your pet for 25% of its health - boosts strength and defense with each use. Does water damage and can do even more water damage with water baguette mods (even has 3 mod slots!) so it's good for the forj challenger - also does a lot of water damage and is good for the forj challenger - T3 but does a lot of damage. Be aware that this weapon has no defense cheap alternative healer - water damage again for the forj

I list a lot of water damaging weapons because the forj challenger likes to steal so it's good to have as many weapons as possible that can be used against her, especially if you are going for 70 wins against her to unlock her harder forms. A lot of them can also be used as default weapons and get you through beating the other challengers as well.

As far as default weapons that will get you through a majority of the opponents you face at T4, this is what I would recommend:

minotaur knocker, Icy Freezing Rod of Doom, shear sword, fruit punch bone club, Shrine of Apollonia, and UltimaPlus Tag. The other slots I would fill with healing and defense, or maybe bombs like .

The knocker is nice because it offers a small amount of healing per turn. Barely any low tier weapons offer a heal per turn.

I'm going to point out that the is probably better than , and both the Earth Bomb and Icy Freezing Rod of Doom can be bought in the battle shop for medium tokens. Maybe you already have enough tokens, or you can win them, to get the items if you don't want to spend SP.

Also chiming in to say if you don't have a phoenix quill, get one from the millionaire center now while it's still in the seasonal stock (summer). Once it changes to fall it will be more expensive.

Hi guys, as there is no newer thread than this 5 years old one, I thought I am going to push this! Hope you do not mind when I stick with my question here. So I bought now and in my "old" Tier 3 Set is still: (is the better? Why? ) (This says ice damage 12 to 16, why is the better? )

for the scrolls I also normally use and Sometimes also

I do not have too much AP as I find it really exhausting to find books and the other ways I found were also really expensive. What do you think what I can improve/ how I can put a new set together?

For more affordable set recommendations, I usually go to this post ">Affordable Weapon Sets

For scrolls, this is a helpful post. Scrolls

For AP, I use Subetalodge to find new books. You can add your pet's read books to a checklist and it will show you the books your pet needs to read. You can sort it by lowest price books in user shops. I actually buy a new book each day for my pet to increase AP.

As for why the is better than the it is because the Gorgun will 100% freeze your opponent if they don't have freezing disabled. There's a chance the Icy Freezing Rod of Doom will not freeze your opponent as it's not a 100% freezer. You can buy the Gorgun in the Battle Shop for 35 Hard Tokens.
