hello! my name is frances, i'm nonbinary (they/them pronouns) and i have a petsite problem to be honest! i played neopets for 8 years but when i got bored of it i started looking for something else to catch my interest. i play goatlings, flightrising, and chickensmoothie as a result- i'm frnknbrry on all of those as well (i'm most active on goatlings out of those) c:

a little about me:

• i'm 19 and in my junior (3rd) year of university. i'm studying biology.
• i live with a bunch of pets: 2 chickens, 2 ducks, 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 turtle.
• i watch a lot of youtube: roosterteeth, assorted vloggers, assorted vegan/vegetarian channels.
• i don't watch a lot of tv but lately i've been liking: grace & frankie, stranger things, gotham, and big brother.

i've already spent most of the day on this site instead of getting anything done, so i think i'll like it here!

Welcome! I had the same thing happen my first day and also got almost nothing done. That is quite a lot of pets, although my family has five dogs and a bird. How are the chickens and ducks to keep? that's a lot of dogs, are they big or smaller? the chickens and ducks are pretty easy, but today the chickens got out of the fence and we had to chase them out of our neighbors yard! they usually behave, and at least one chicken and one duck are really friendly, and they're all adorable. we do have to clean them a lot, because birds are gross :s

We have Australian shepherds that were all rescued, so ours range from about 35 pounds to about 55 pounds. Not huge, but also not lap dogs (even though they think they are). The fenced yard and dog door are definite assets.

I've heard chickens do require a lot of cleanup duty, which is one of the reasons I've thought they're maybe not for me. I'm glad you managed to round them all up though!

that's not so bad, then. one of our dogs is a 120 pound rottweiler, and the other is a tiny 15 pound boston terrier- they're a handful together.

aww ! i love their names. parakeets are so cute, what's it like having them? are they loud?

i'm not too into gaming channels anymore, i barely even watch AH's actual gaming content (mostly i listen to their podcast). i just have a hard time paying attention :s

Peep and Lemon came prenamed. I was given them from a friend.

It's fun having them and all their personalities. Some of them are more hand friendly than others. Loki doesn't tend to like to get on my finger but adores belly rubes. Peep likes belly rubs and if I do things right he'll stay on my shoulder. Lemon is nervous and doesn't like being touched. She recently recovered from an infection where she was plucking due to anxiety. Now she has her own cage.

And loud...you won't believe how much sound such a small creature can make and then when more than one is chatting at once O.O'

I like the squawks but they are loudXD

i honestly didn't think birds could have much personality until i had my chickens, one of them wants to be held and loved while the other is a big baby who is scared of everything (and she's the size of a small toddler)

i found my favourite photos of my pets and threw them in an album http://imgur.com/a/WFwJF, but the pictures of the chickens and ducks are from when we first got them; i only have videos from lately (they don't sit still very well). so the ducks are tiny, but they're big now, and the chickens were in a small dog cage because the picture is from when we were moving them in! they have a big space now.
