I'm almost always on my laptop. I love being exploring the internet, playing Steam games, and making sure my laptop is in good shape. I'm also working towards getting a Bachelor's in Information Systems Technology. While I'm still figuring out what I want to do exactly (I’m leaning towards programming, but I’m not 100% sure), I know that I enjoy IT overall.

EDIT 8/18/17: I'm keeping this thread open! :D
(I'm only doing this for fun!)
(sup it me) If I ever forget my iPod at home, I will miss the bus and a bit of my class just to turn back and get it. I cannot function without music in my ears. I just can't. The world is incredibly loud and filled with garbage sound. Headphones on, world shut out eh eh.
The item that represents me is
Why? Because I'm a crime/horror TV & film addict, and the black hoodie is probably the most famous/obvious symbol of my favourite character from the show Mr. Robot. Actually, this HA is a cosplay of him because I just identify with a lot of aspects of this character. Another bonus would be how this character was inspired by another one of my favourite movie characters of all time, The Narrator from Fight Club. Yes, that's me. I won't shut up about good films and tv :P.

My item is the:
Because I love to go hiking with my dogs, it's one of my favorite things in the world! Winter, spring, summer and fall...although I like the cooler seasons most of all (haha, sorry for the lame rhyme)! One of my dogs is a husky mix and she often wears a doggy backpack just like that. The item represents adventures in nature, spending quality time and making memories with your dogs. That to me is priceless. ❤️
okay firstly i LOVE this idea for a raffle/game/thingy! seriously, it's great c:
Private Outfit
my items (i hope it's ok that i included more than one!) arrre:
the kitty is because i have three cats that i adore and honestly i spend a hecka big chunk of my time taking cat pictures of them and filming them and generally being a big gooey sap cooing at them 24/7. i'm stuck at home a lot so i'm always glad for them and their company, bless them <3
the knitted sweater is because i am a huge crochet/knitting/yarn fan!! i literally will happily just roll around in my yarn stash for hours planning endless projects (all of which will end up half-finished and scattered around the place, completely littering up my house) and even though the only thing i can reliably make is a boring scarf, i love being able to make functional things (...in theory, anyway!) as well as decorative things (things that are both are a teensy bit harder, unfortunately)!
annnd finally the embroidered tote isssss (unsurprisingly) because i love embroidery! i'm a proper nerd about it: not only do i embroider basically every single moment that i can, i also read up on the history of embroidery and willingly attend sewing conventions ^^;; i just love how textural it is, how it calms my mind but keeps my hands busy, and has such a rich and varied history!
Private Outfit
I've been picking up rocks for as long as I can remember. Every time I go anywhere outdoors, I'm bound to come home with pockets and backpacks (maybe even a whole car) full of rocks. Rockhounding/mineral collecting is my primary hobby (ok, I admit I buy some of them lol...I like some exotic things I can't find locally) so this seemed like the best thing to base my HA around for this awesome raffle.
Probably at least 50% of my real life t-shirts have squids on them. Squids are pretty rad. I am not a fashionable person. :P
This is the closest companion I've found on the site to my real-life doggo, a chocolate lab named Zelda. She is the loyalest and bestest puppy* companion ever. *Not technically a puppy anymore, but labs are kind of eternal puppies, so it works lol
Private Outfit
My personal item is the , because the cat looks quite a bit like my sweet feline! I love cats (always have) and my girl has been with me for nearly two years now. She might be my first and only cat so far, but there are sure to be more at some point in the future!
they/them/theirs, please.
Private Outfit
i usually go for fantasy-aesthetic avatars but for this i made a more grounded one
the "likes coding" tee + holo screens are because computers are my fucking life and i adore them in every way also i'm a programmer so there's that
the two owls are because i love plushies and stuffed animals they're cuddly and good to hug
cargo pants psa: lots of pockets mean you can carry literally all of your shit in your pockets without needing a bag or hands, it's pretty great
this is such a good idea for a raffle!! i love it c:
i also have a handful of items on here that represent me, i hope that's okay haha

+ i really love music - both listening to it and attempting to play it. music notation has always been a very calming aesthetic for me too!
clouds and the colour blue are my absolute favourite thing! both of them bring me so much joy and calm that they've become a distinct part of my identity as a person in a lot of ways.
+ dogs are so so so important to me as well and i identify very strongly with them, especially golden sammies (which are a crossbreed of golden retrievers and samoyeds). i feel so comfortable and at home around them!
[/link]Everyone added up to this point~
(I want to reply to these another day!)
I'm glad someone else like my hoodie haha! It's my favourite recolour of it ;u;
Private Outfit I went to college to be an Art Teacher and I'm currently working in an art & science museum's library. Art has a special place in my heart, so I thought I could represent that here. I also love Georgia O'Keeffe (we have 2 of her sketches where I work!!) and this background looks like her Jimson Weed.
I'm super grateful for the lax rules on this. HA stuff isn't really my thing, much less my forte, so I have like very few items that would even remotely fit for this raffle.

That said, I tried to stick anyway with stuff I could feasibly go out & buy to own, or that I already own. (Because otherwise I'd be too sad. There are SO many neat CWs out there, dang... Makes me wish I knew what was involved with commissioning processes.)
I also tried to include things that would tell about me at a glance? But the rules state to essentially pick just 1 item to represent me so I guess it's hardly any surprise that mine's sunflower-related.
The item that represents me:
I had a hard time deciding: I was torn between this & Nouveau Sunflower Vase.
Black Sunflowers Print is a nod to my 2nd all-time favourite painting by Vincent Van Gogh. (Actually, it's part of a series of paintings of the same subject, but ya'll get the idea.)
Van Gogh is my go-to for when I'm feeling poorly, which is often, but also an influence on how I try to approach my own artwork. I've had a love-hate relationship for a very long time with my art (a relatable feeling I'm sure) & when I look at his work, I always think like... if I can love what he created so much, if it fills me with so many feelings like it does, then someday maybe my stuff can achieve that kind of emotion out of itself, too. I can't decide if that's thinking too highly of myself or not, but I need that kind of hope, so there it is.
is a nod to Alphonse Mucha, another artist I really admire the work of & strive to understand & bring into what I like about my own art, albeit in different ways than Van Gogh. Ultimately, it made the background look too cluttered with the foreground so I went with the first item instead. But I still really love it. Art Nouveau in general is so... ethereal & full of little details & I'd love to have the health & energy to put into my work like that someday.
I could talk about the other items I chose, maybe? I'm not sure if I'm just supposed to leave it at this.

- You can talk about multiple items! c: I specified one just as an entry requirement.
Also, between you and , I've learned a bit about art today. :)
- Hiking in nature with a dog sounds amazing! I would love to live in a place where it would be possible to go into nature often.
- More than one item is fine!
I've been trying to get into sewing for a while, but I keep on hesitating. What is embroidering like?
- I want a cat so bad. D: I've never had one before, but I've always loved them.
- What do you program and in what language(s)? I'm debating making the programming specialization as my major, but I know it'll be focused on Java and I haven't had good experiences with Java so far.
Pockets are the best~
- What instrument(s) have you attempted to play? I played the clarinet in middle school, but haven't played since. :x
I adore clouds and the blue sky as well! I also adore the night sky, dusk, and dawn. Staring at it has comforted me throughout my life and it feels like a part of me (a big reason why Sky is my name).
I want that hoodie in real life.
- I didn't know you released the hoodies. :o I saw the white and black one before, but never saw the cloud one (or I don't remember seeing it). The cloud one is the best recolor.
- I'm not into horror films, but I think crime film/shows are interesting. I just don't have the patience to sit though most things these days, and I'm more into animated things.
Fight Club is a movie name I've heard of so many times, but never have seen. That's the case with 99% of movies I've heard of.
hmmmm embroidery is... if you like making things/crafting things with your hands, and you aren't incredibly frustrated by fiddly things, it's brilliant! having the freedom to create whatever designs you might wish to make can be incredibly freeing - i know for some people though that aspect can be super daunting ^^;; i actually started by doing cross-stitch kits for a few months, before switching to surface embroidery/hand quilting, so it might be a good idea to do a couple cross-stitch kits first, just to get used to the more fiddly setupy parts of sewing and the scale of things! good luck with it, i hope you enjoy it c:
@ Skylar Oh, ok! (Also I could totally talk folks' ears off forever about art, ha ha. It's neat to find out there's others in here that have an interest, too.)
In that case:
The other items I chose that are important to me for 1 reason or another:
The items that represent what is essentially my day-to-day wardrobe:
nerdy nattering behind cut
Sunflowers are kind of obvious in that they show up in everything related to me. I don't often talk about WHY I like them so much though. Looking at them fills me with a sort of calm joy. There's an assured sort of order to sunflowers. Like a lot of plant-life, there's a natural fibonacci sequence in the arrangement of the florets that become the petals & seeds! (The golden ratio is actually something I'm really fascinated by.)
So, they're fascinating & pretty! They also come in lots of colours, not just yellow! (Though yellow is my favourite, of course.)
But like, they're useful, as well! So many things come from sunflowers!
is because of my love for the Zelda games--but most especially OoT, Majora's Mask, & Wind Waker, which were my introductions to the series before I experienced any others. They formed a lot of what I expected out of fantasy video games: an open world to explore, puzzles, lore, fun characters, SECRETS, & a bit of tragedy. I have so many FEELINGS about these games & the characters in them.
is for similar reasons as the LoZ games. A huge part of my childhood & a lingering presence in adulthood. I love so much about it I couldn't possibly fit it in here.
is the other major part of my childhood that has come with me as an adult. Dinosaurs were my first love, my first special interest, as a teeny tiny tot. They got me, wide-eyed & curious, & never let me go. They've changed as I have, becoming something else over the years as we find out more & more about them & learn that we were 110% wrong about what we thought we knew. It'll be that way in the future, & it's exciting to me what I could learn that I didn't know today.
As for my wardrobe, it's probably self-explanatory on the surface--in that I routinely wear graphic tees (though I wish I had a rad shark tee like that!!) & pajama bottoms & my big ol' glasses & my bright yellow converse sneakers (I have bright blue laces to go with them c: ). I couldn't find a hoodie that really matches what I wear on the rare days in Florida when it's cold out, so this is an approximation. Mine's really cool though! It looks like I'm wearing armour. B)
The less obvious is that I have to be pretty mindful of what I wear on a given day, because I'm so tender-skinned from my health problems that certain fabrics (like denim) leave me bruised & cut into my skin. It's sensory things that a lotta folks wouldn't ever notice, but is deeply painful for me, so I just default to the softest things I can wear. Elastic waistbands not covered by fabric are the WORST lmtu.
Finally: is because I have a fishbone tattoo from the time I let a former roommate impulse-talk me into going out & getting a tattoo with them. It's still nice, I do like it, but if I ever get to the point where I would heal well enough from it, I'd get sleeves of my own design to replace it. For now, it's a pretty identifiable mark & a nice visual/tangible reminder of a good memory when I struggle with memory.

ive been taught in C, C++, Java, Ruby, Python, LISP, Logisim, Verilog, and... i think thats it HTML/CSS too i guess but thats not as cool ive done software/web applications nothing super cool since i was studying it in college but uh its actually really hard to program if neither of your hands works properly, you fall asleep at random, and you cant always read or focus for longer than like five minutes at a time programming takes a lot of typing and uninterrupted focus lmao and also screaming chronic illness + medications for chronic illness + dumb mental issues fucked me over there so my best advice for learning to program is not to get horribly sick halfway through
you should totally take programming as a specialisation tho its a++ good times (Java does kinda suck though yeah)
guitar, electric bass, keyboard - all minimally but i do really like them!
and omg i am so glad!!! you have an excellent name and namesake c:
(i agree that sweater is so so nice o thank you for bringing it into the world <3)
