so someone asked if Clive was broken(last night) and I wasn't sure so I checked it out myself. was told he did no damage yet the text was there. just wondering now is if he is broken or if it was just a random thing.

since we can only get him through BQs now, Im not sure how else to test it and see if its a legit thing

think you could get in touch with the right person for us? not sure if it would be purge or cranberry or whoever is now in charge of the BC

I believe that Clive is designed that way. According to 's guide for Clive, all of his weapons don't deal any damage at the start of the battle. They take some time to generate other weapons which will then deal damage. Considering he's a T4 challenger and has low DEF, a T6 (or a T5 with good scroll) is likely to kill him even before his first stage weapons complete the generating process. One way to find out is to use nothing but shield against him until the second stage weapons are generated. If his Projectile Bauble, Glass Shards and Impaling Ornament don't do any damage, then he is indeed broken.

Ill have to check that..I know when I fought him last night(this morning?) it took 2 hits to 'kill' him and both times his damage to my pet was nothing..

You killed him too fast 😄 I bet the other person also has a strong pet, too strong for Clive, so they always finish him before he can even do anything. If you run into him in BQ tomorrow, the best bet would be to click the submit button without selecting any weapons/ dark potions, or scrolls. If after 20 turns your health is still full then Clive is 100% broken, but I do think it's just how he is designed :).

most likely..I dunno what tier their pet is but I know mine is t10..if it takes 20 turns Ill take a look at it lol thanks

I'm the one that noticed this first and brought it up. c: I was using my T3 to fight him, so it took a few turns. I got him again today and counted 8 turns with no frozen turns or anything, and he still never attacked. That just doesn't seem right.
