In light of the recent poll where we voted among 5 experiments to become pet species, we ended up with a close vote and will be getting two of them instead of just one. Now, while some are happy about the results or not, I'd like to discuss the potential of these two winners, so here are my thoughts of what can be done with them.

First lets look at the peacock deer, or "Peaquine" dubbed by some fans. A beautiful pet; I can see this one having looking very nice in the Glade color, likening it to a tree or a nature spirit; it's horns becoming branches and it's tail as ferns or decked out with flowers. I can also see a more intimidating color like Nightmare giving it a frightening look with it's tail eyes staring unnervingly at the viewer. And then for Reborn, being like a combination of the mythical kirin and a phoenix. Either way, this pet feels like it's going to have a lot of beautiful, majestic, and intimidating special colors.

Next we have the runner-up; this blob thing. A very simple design that's gotten a bit of criticism for getting chosen as the runner up. In it's simplicity however, I see it as a wildcard pet with lots of fun potential. Picture it becoming a jellyfish for the Hydrus color, a comet for Galactic, dirt clump for Glade, thundercloud for Storm, an Eldritch shadow blob for Nightmare, a clock or pocket watch for Steamwork--you get the idea! It's abstract and the diversity allows for a lot of ideas (particularly for object-based pets, which I'd happily welcome on the site).

While I was a huge supporter of the squid myself, and hope squiddy gets to be a pet someday too, I look forward to these new additions and felt like I should put my ideas out there. And anyone else with ideas for these two newcomers may leave their thoughts here as well.

I have a recolored peacock to make them look more like a phoenix so I am looking forward to see it in Reborn ONE DAY. I also want to see it in Nightmare, Glacier and Angelic but in the end just give me all the colors for it I just love this pet.

I voted for the peacock mainly because I absolutely need to see it in reborn and nightmare before I die hehe its like something on my bucket list now.

I didn't fork over an insane amount of money, though, considering that money is ultimately wasted and goes toward nothing but toward voting with nothing in return, I have better things to sploosh money over for. Like, at least give us wiz tokens or something for voting lol

I voted for the peacock cause I badly need one in Nightmare. I am also courious what it will look like in angelic.

I did not pour much money in the voting, cause I am allways tight on sP (my pets eat them all cause they want so much TC items ^^) and I guess a "normal" pool would have been a fairer solution in the long shot.

Yeah, I do agree a consolation for voting would've been nice, or at least not have the poll dependent on whoever can drop the most sP into one thing. I didn't have a whole lot to spare myself; I only dumped 1.5 mil into just the squid, who sadly didn't win. So it was just 1.5 mil I put in for nothing and felt kinda bummed out by that.

But for the winners, I'm really looking forward to that peacock. My pet Adrammelech (who is named after a lightning-based Final Fantasy summon) is definitely going to be the storm version whenever it comes out to fit his namesake even more. As for the blob however, if it has good diversity and creativity with it's special colors, then I might get one somewhere down the line. It depends on how the artists handle it. Only time will tell..

I'm looking forward to seeing the peacock's colors too though because my pet Kuranes is one already, and I'll recolor him if one of the new colors catches my eye :D

I have my own 2759 that I later turned Chibi upon its release, but I am thrilled to see that it'll become a full-fledged pet now. I needed inspiration of how to design my own and I can't wait to see the special colors one day. For my particular pet, glade would be most fitting. I looove the idea of making the horns look like branches. Maybe the appearance of pebbles on its legs where it looks like it has scales. I'm just super anxious. I may end up getting a second honestly because I can only imagine how amazing storm, reborn, and nightmare would look on one of these beauts.

I am one of those people that isn't wild about the blob experiment, but I am happy for those that were hoping it would win. I get that people are hoping for things like ice cubes for glacier, but I just wouldn't know what to do with one. But some people have the creativity and inspiration for that, so good for them. I can't wait to see what people end up making out of the blob colors since I'm kind of on the fence about it myself.

I'm probably the only one having a panic attack seeing my fav won (I didn't vote for my fav), because I know I'm going to need a lot more of 2759, even the common posed ones, and subeta will never allow me to have enough pet slots for them xD (can't change the color/species of most of my existing pets). So yes, I can see the peacock pony having a shit ton of potentials in every color.

I know my thought process is weird, gah, since I should actually be happy.

I just can't wait for the Peadeer's special colors to come out. The possibilities for it are outstanding in my mind. Especially for angelic. Instead of getting something cutesy like the other angelic pets, I'm here mouthwatering over the idea of getting a creepier angel with its multiple eyes. Something along the lines of these works of art would be fantastic.

Speaking of eyes, I hope the eyes on its face stay closed regardless of concept and pose ideas. Like how you never see mouths on Koras, keeping the eyes closed on the Peadeer is a characteristic I'm clinging to.

I'm looking forward to the blobs colors because it's such a great pet design! I can imagine the nostalgic color already! Playdo or slime!

Oh, I didn't even think of those ones for it! But yeah, those are good suggestions; I especially like the idea of the play-doh blob.
