I'd really like to be able to check what stats are needed, what the wage will be, and how many days you need to work for the company to get a promotion for the various levels of a job without having to request a promotion and risk getting promoted when I didn't actually WANT to be. Also, the way the promotion request is set up right now is really, really annoying imo, so I'd rather not have to go into it unless I actually want to try for a promotion.
What it would simply be (in my mind) is another tab on the pet's employment center page where clicking on it once you have a job will pull up a list which would tell you your current stats (like most employment center pages) and rank, then list the ranks with the requirements to reach them (stats and days working there) and the wage for each rank.
That way, I'd be able to keep track of my pet's progress without having to risk getting a promotion when I didn't want them to get one.
There is a great job agency guide here that should have all the information you need: Job Agency Guide and Discussion

: That should work (since it's got all the data, it'll be functional, at least), thanks. I just thought it would be a lot easier to go into it in the job agency because that's where I think of it and it would be one less independent tab I'd have to have open which was job-specific, not all the jobs at once since there are so many and it becomes a really long list.
Some of the phrasing for being turned down just sounds really insulting, especially the intelligence one. The nicest of them is if you just need to level up more. Maybe that's just me, but when your pet has 100 Strength or 100 Intelligence and is told 'you're looking thin' or 'what's 2+2? Too slow', it just doesn't sound right. I know a blanket statement is easier to do, but ones like those aren't exactly...use-alls for every rank of a job, especially not a demanding one. I'm already annoyed at low levels, but my sister has higher level pets this still applies to--a pet with over 200 Intelligence being asked 2+2 and told 'too slow'?
Sorry, I'll stop talking now. I'm sure you get the picture, and either it's a point or it's not, so...
Oh. The game text is just there make it more interesting. Kinda like how, when you feed a subeta pet, they'll usually say something kinda whiney or snarky like "What are you trying to do, poison me?" It's not meant to be taken seriously. I can see how this kind of humor wouldn't appeal to everyone though.

: Depending on what you just fed the pet, it may be a valid question with some of the things Subeta apparently considers 'food'... O.O
But yes, not everyone is fond of that kind of 'humor'. Sort of like, 'there's times and places for that'? Apparently, this really is just me, so it probably won't be adjusted any time soon.
Thanks again for the link, though, since it'll make some of what I wanted the list for a lot easier.
I've been rejected from jobs for similar petty reasons both stated and unstated and it's often insulting and personal to me since I needed the job but probably wasn't to the person who needs to fill that role for the company. So it's part of what it means to look for a job to my mind. Since the aerie who is 'helping' us at the job centre already looks like he just doesn't care about us or our pets and is just about the sPs, to me it's for the lulz.
Maybe he needs an entry under Evil in the subetapedia.
That said, it could be made to seem more random and unfeeling by actually being random and unfeeling and having a number of sayings applied to each failure to meet requirements.
: It would be good if the saying changed depending on your pet's Strength/Intelligence--if the pet has higher Intelligence, it might actually be asked a very complex question, then the 'too slow' would make sense because the questions are becoming increasingly difficult. The same could be true of Strength, too. Maybe not completely random, but more varied and less of 'childishly insulting' or just not true. :)
An entry under 'greedy' or 'cold' rather than 'evil'. :P
