Hi, I've been having problems with the buttons on the Battle Token Trading page for quite a while now, even before the recent improvement in which the buttons were enlarged. The way it is supposed to work, the number of tokens to be traded down will increase or decrease by 1 with each click, unless one holds down the mouse. However, every time I do a single click the number of tokens will increase or decrease by 2, today it's jumped to 3, which makes it very difficult to get the exact number of tokens I want to trade down. So, for example, if I want to trade down 1 impossible token, when I click on the add button once, it will register as 2 tokens. If I want to get exactly 1 token, I will somehow have to click until the number of tokens is 3 or 5, then click subtract twice (because it will subtract 2 tokens with each click) in order to get 1 token -__-. Well I'm not the best at explaining things so I hope that makes sense :'( .
I've been trying this on my laptop, using Windows 10, Chrome version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit). Then at work on my PC, which uses Windows 7 and on Chrome. I've actually just tried again on Microsoft Edge, still the same problem. I've just also disabled any CustomCSS I've got before trying, and the problem still persists.
[edit] I just disabled the extensions on my browsers (Avira & uBlock origin) and tried again, but still had the same problem. I don't think there are any extensions on my ME browser because I hardly ever use it, and there are certainly no extensions on the browsers on my PC at work. I hope it helps, but if there's anything I need to be more specific on, please do let me know.
I'd appreciate any help with this. Thank you in advance ❤
I believe the delay mechanism after clicking the button is not working. When you hold down the button on a spinner, it will usually change the value by 1, and then after some milliseconds change the value at a greater rate.
Thank you for the explanation. I wonder how other battlers often trade their tokens. It's just a little quirk of mine that I want to keep a certain number of Imp. tokens on hand at all times and trade down any surplus daily for stat boosters, so having more or fewer than that number really bugs me T.T and the delay mechanism not working is not helping either :'(
Since you're using Windows, you can use its built in Mousekeys in the Control Panel to make your Numpad into mouse buttons. It can register one click without any hold down delay. Otherwise, the obvious and simplest way is to toy around increasing the decreasing the value until you get the correct amount.
(I recommend not using any other clicking software or extensions, because that's uncharted territory)
Thank you for the tip! I'll try that on my work PC tomorrow after work :D. Somehow I can't get it to work on my laptop, probably because I don't have a numpad here sadly, and I'm a complete noob when it comes to computers too.
You're welcome Most laptops that don't have a dedicated Numpad will have a modifier keys labelled in blue. Usually the Fn key and some combo. I don't know about your particular machine, but you can look up the instructions on your own :)
Edit: Just to clarify, there's a Num Lock combo that enables and disable the Numpad.
I never trade my tokens but testing this out, it does seem very very sensitive. I can't always click fast enough to only get it to go up by one
Thank you for the tip. I tried it out today and it works perfectly :D. Thank you too for confirming. I thought it was only me who has this problem. For now I can get by with the Mousekeys trick, but I still hope this will get fixed eventually :D
Just for additional information, what browsers are you using when this happens?
The OP encountered the problem in Chrome and MS Edge. I also encountered this in Firefox ESR.
Thank you! I probably skimmed over that in the thread. :X
HEY GUYS sorry I'm so late to this but I think I've made it better! Now it pauses for a tiny bit longer after your initial click, so you have to hold the mouse down for like half a second before it starts auto-incrementing. Please let me know if it's better now!
Also hi <3 <3 <3

I tried it and it does have a hold delay now. Thanks for the improvement.
However, during a button abuse test, I tried to go up and down repeatedly on the + and - buttons. Sometimes the hold will get stuck, and the counter will either keep going up or down to zero. I'm trying to figure out if it's because of a button hold and then an individual click in the opposite button.
So it's perfectly fine for trading 1 token or just going in one direction, but if someone is trying to correct their overshoot, then they might experience this issue.
Edit: Actually, this also happens with repeated increase in one direction too D:
/cries
Would you guys be mad if I just changed it to an input field instead? (That is, instead of clicking +/- buttons, you just type in the exact number you want)
This is super tricky and I'm starting to feel it's maybe not worth the effort >_<

I think it has to do with not detecting that the mouse button is up, instead of the square button.
An input field would be more useful for trading mass battle tokens actually, which I tend to do as well. I'm not sure if the OP will disagree, because I know they trade small amounts down daily to keep a certain amount of Impossible tokens.
This is still on the radar, but lower priority than some of the other things being worked on. :)
This is stilllll on the radar. Have no fear.
An update for the Battle Tokens trading page is going out in a couple minutes :)
We've opted to simple change the +/- buttons to simple input fields. If you still like that method of input, depending on the browser, it may still have up/down arrows you can click to increase and decrease the amount. But otherwise, it's now possible to type in the exact amount you want into the input field.
NOTE: If the preview of how many tokens you get isn't updating, please try clearing your browser cache, as it requires you to have the most up-to-date version of the JavaScript file on that page.
