for the last three days, I have had to find the same bug. is this a glitch or am I never going to get a different one?

what do you mean? have you turned in the bug, started a new request the next day, and been asked to find the same bug again? or have you been unable to find the bug for several days?

if it's the former, it could just be a string of bad luck. you'll get a different request eventually.

if it's the latter, you can just buy the bug from user shops and turn it in. i like to keep one of each bug in my gallery so if i can't find the one i've been asked for, i can just pull it out, turn it in, and then put it back in the gallery.

I have turned the bug in each day and started a new request.

That is unfortunately just bad luck. I have had that before.
