After the wardrobe system came out, I can remember people flipping over Long Autumn Scarf and trying so hard to get the Bag of Kettle Corn and Spun Sugar Machine. I'm pretty sure the chance items largely paid Subeta's bills in the early years.

I lucked out on the scarf and got like 6 of them from the batch of DPs I bought that month. At 3-4mil a piece, I felt like I was rolling in it.

Pretty much any and all pieces from costume trunks that first came out as sets. The Maid outfit and vampire trunk as well as the Love Goddes/Cupid sets were the most popular.

Oh and Legendaries, like And many more were all the rage.

Oh and the original Subeautique lines you could also vend from the vending machines or if you got lucky in restocking them .... it was not so easy.

Seconding most of what's been in this thread already (ESPECIALLY those Magical Pants, I was so excited when I got mine and then realised how hard it was to make them look aesthetically pleasing), but I also remember these being popular when the wardrobe system was new:

The old Subetautique sets that were retired in like, 2010, haha. Especially Giselle/Hazel/Junko lines, but so many of them were popular for layering. And a lot of the first cash shop sets.

When I first started, was THE item. I worked so hard to get it at first!

When I first joined, I remember a good deal of people who had limited release custom wearables that they based whole ensembles around. But what I really REALLY remember were the hair coupons, particularly the braided ones and the one that had the soft shaded look, like . Always thought those were funny, seeing as they were really popular and yet they had the sticker look that the cc reviewers don't (didn't? I haven't really kept up with the guidelines) want to see in custom wearables, But man, those used to be seriously expensive--I really wanted one when I first joined, and always felt disheartened by the fact they could go for 30 million sp or higher, while I was struggling to get more than my first million.

Oh man, there were so many different wearables that were popular when I joined almost 7 years ago! I remember these the most though.

I feel like when I started there were almost no options for customizing the face, so everything was really sought after. My first Lumi I was gifted the Donna Fake Lashes (which at the time were around 9mil I believe) and I was so excited, until I realized I hated them. By that point the value had gone down, but selling those really helped me sP wise when before that I had maybe 100,000 at any given time.

I also remember a bit later on that and were insanely popular too. I still have and use most of these!

started in late 2008, i always thought subeautique items were what Cool Kids wore. still remember that line pretty well, haha the misery lotus items were always favs of me. i still occassionally like to use these eyes!

anyway, items i remember being popular 10 or so years ago were stuff like to name a few.

HAs first came out within a month of me joining, so I guess when I joined the ones that got made wearable first were popular. :P
