Hmm. I just realised that there are not ant-like-species. Is there any hope that the subeta team can fix this? I REALLY like ants. (I mean, who doesn't?!?!)

I know that they can't create a subeta-species for every real-life-species, but an ant would be really great :)

I think a honeypot ant could work. If it's not an experiment, the swollen abdomen could serve as the 'main' color of a body (so like.. a Dawn version would have a pink-colored abdomen), with the remainder of the body & abdomen stripes being the accent colors.

I like those honey pot ants. That would make a cute pet I would totally get. I can see working Eito into one.

those of us with anaphylaxis to fire ants would love to see them eradicated. and eh, i feel like you could mb get around this with overlays.

I'm not necessarily opposed to an ant pet but I do agree that the bleeding tooth bug thing experiment could pass for an ant

Not gonna lie, this baby would be cute as a full-out pet and you could keep a small colony or something like that in a terrarium. Firey ants for reborn, angelic would be flying ants... graveyard could be amusing and same with nightmare lol

We do have the zasaba. I know it's not technically an ant, but it's kind of similar, and an overlay isn't out of the question.

There seemed to be a lot of support for a praying mantis pet before release, but the zasaba turned out to be one of the least popular non-experiment pets according to the species stats page. Compare it (769 on-site) to the zentu (3104 on-site), which was released around the same time and has fewer recolors. I can't see an ant pet working out, unfortunately.
