Hi everyone!

As mentioned in the Announcement Board in this post, it's time to nominate some champions!

As a group, you will be able to nominate up to 5 champions to put their name into the Goblet of Fire. Champions will need to participate in champion-specific challenges, which the majority of which will be roleplay challenges. You will be able to assist your champions during the challenges on coming up with their solutions, however they will need to execute the solutions themselves (i.e. the roleplay should be written and posted by your champions only).

Some things to consider when choosing champions:

• Champions, once decided, cannot be changed.
• Champions must be ACTIVE during the tournament. There will be challenges that will be champion-specific, so your champions will need to participate in order for your school to earn points.
• A majority of the champion-specific challenges will be roleplay based. So choose a strong roleplayer!

Champions are NOT required to take on the duties Prefects normally do. They are not required to maintain bulletin boards, contests, etc. However, if you are selected as champion and would like to take on those responsibilities, that is perfectly fine! Alternatively, if your school decides to appoint a member that is not a champion to lead the group, or if you choose to not have anyone lead, that is fine as well.

Nominations for champions must be made by July 5th at 11:59PM. You can ping me to the thread here once the decision has been made!

There will then be a Goblet of Fire ceremony on July 8th to announce the goblet's decisions on your school's 2 champions.

Alright my fellow Ilvermorny classmates! Who would like to be nominated to be one of our two champions?!?!

I recently joined Wizarding and this will be my first term, so I am not sure if I am the strongest candidate for becoming champion due to not roleplaying in a while, but I will think about it some more!

The challenges which are champion-specific - are they planned to last a few days(just like the regular assignments but only champions can participate) or are they time-bound to certain hours of one day? :)

Also, how are points calculated regarding roleplay?

Ahh, this is so exciting! :D Is anyone hoping to be nominated as a champion? I don't think I would be a good choice since I haven't done RP much, and this is only my second term, but I am looking forward to choosing champions and cheering them on!

With there be challenges that non-champions can participate in as well? I wasn't completely sure how that would work this term, since it's a bit different. Thank you! =)

What are the days that champions should be sure they are available? I will be out of town July 13-16, and I won't have access to internet. Does that mean I shouldn't be a champion since that will likely be during the challenges? ( since you will be out of town also!)

Corvus' childhood was more British than American and he doesn't feel comfortable with American life. He got a letter from Ilvermorny and was sorted into Horned Serpent - a fact he really likes and takes pride in it.

Corvus is not somebody with many friends - first; it's because of Rappaport's Law, second because of the lack of other magical children in his hometown and third because he doesn't do well with others. aww thank you so much for the nomination, sweetie! hugs I would be honored. I do love to rp :) I am planning to make my new characters tonight. If allows it I am planning to play two, both at Ilvermorny. They will be brother and sister. He is 17 and she is 12 and only in her second year. Not sure if there will be an age limit or not so I'm thinking the 12 year old will just be for fun.

That's so sweet of you to nominate me! I super appreciate it, but I don't think I'd be reliable enough regarding time commitment once the tournament begins. I am moving in 2 weeks and starting a new job, so I'd love to be a part of all this but certainly not as a champion.

Since I am so new here and really have yet to participate in much roleplaying, I don't think I'd be a good candidate, especially because I also just started a new job and I am house hunting too, so my spare time is pretty full already o.O

But, I will definitely participate in non-champion challenges :)

I feel honored that you have nominated me (Thank you ❤️) and I would love to be a candidate for the champion, however I am not sure how time-consuming this would be and how long the Tournament is going to be? The "problem" is that I have two exam weeks starting on July 17th (plus I will have to start studying for them beforehand as well just to be save), then my closing ceremony and right after that I'll be changing jobs so it's going to be a tough and exciting time for me.

If the Tournament isn't that time-consuming and/or if the major part of it is over when my exam weeks do start then of course I'd like to be on the list, otherwise I would rather make room for someone with more time for this awesome event. I don't want to disappoint our team, you know? (:

I have another question that came to my mind xd How long will the tournament last? :)

Well, it would be cool if Mary responded to my post regarding the Lightning Challenges. If they keep it as it is, with challenges only lasting some hours and therefore totally ignoring other people's timezones, I'm gonna withdraw and skip the whole thing as it's really unfair in my eyes. :/

I'd like to nominate: because Carlos seems like a badass. because Evalyn has a lot in common with the interests of my character! because he character seems very well developed and I would love to see how they handle some of the challenges.
