I... Uhm, I sorta want to say an overlay would be better for this. But with almost all pet suggestions, I wouldn't be totally against it ? Side note: there's an experiment that looks like a Sphynx cat. But one big issue would be the pets like the ghostly, who I believe actually lacks a body at all, and the harvester who... well, Rah said it:

Also, how would this translate to pets that are just skin and have no fur in the first place. It'd work for the furred pets, like the Feli, but for pets like the Torrent, Qrykee, Xotl that have no fur in the first place and also no feathers, this wouldn't make sense. Likewise for the pets like the Harvester which is essentially supposed to be a ghostly skeleton pet and the Dilemma which is a plushie.

There'd really be no way to translate that to bald since they have no fur/feathers in the first place to depict as bald.

omfg I am laughing so hard at the thought of this idea lmao But yeah, I don't think this would translate very well with all the pets.

Kind of still hard for me to picture if I'm being honest. When I think of say, a reptile shedding I don't automatically think of their skin becoming duller instead. I think of it becoming shinier because generally when a snake sheds its skin it has shiny new skin with brighter patterns underneath.

I just can't really think of the logistics of this working on all the pets on site even if the idea is pretty amusing.

Generally I have nothing against this idea and I think Pets like Feli, Ruffie or Devonti would be cute that way however I am not sure if it really could be done in a not lame way for all species. I for example have no idea how a cleverly thought out Naked Hipottu should look like...or a Naked Torrent, Zsasaba etc.. It wouldn't be quite balanced imo to have a Feli looking like a Sphinx cat and a Ruffie looking like a Xolo while the Xotl only comes with removed spots.

I don't think it's a good idea, sorry - I just cannot stand seeing furless or featherless animals because they look sickly, and that makes me really sad! :( Plus, as all other users have already said, it's better to use a Custom Overlay for this.

A Dillema would be a pile of stuffing, a ghostly would be a blank square, and the harvester would be a large censor dot? What do you do with things that don't have fur or feathers?

As much as I would love to see a Sphinx Feli this color wouldn't work for a lot of pets.
