Hey everyone, I guess I'll kick this off. My week has been a rollercoaster. On one hand, I GOT MY DREAM JOB!!! On the other hand, everyone keeps calling me "she" even though I'm wearing a binder just because I have long hair so RIP my self esteem. But other than that, it's been a dream. I get to work with one of my QPLPs so thats just amazing, and the work isn't hard either! There's been a few rough patches that I won't bother anyone with details but good vibes and wishes would be appreciated. <3
I can't wait to begin to learn about everyone else, and this group creation has really been an awesome point of my week!

👋 I have my first shift at my internship tomorrow, which I'm excited and nervous for. It's at a museum, and I'd tried to get an internship there in the past with no luck so I'm pretty happy about it. I had orientation last week, so I have some familiarity with the people and the place. BUT, I've also been avoiding some other things because I'm nervous about how busy the rest of my week is going to be... I'll write them on a to do list and hopefully that'll encourage me to do them for real, because it usually works.

That's really a shame people are misgendering you just because of your hair. Golly, people judge gender based off such petty criteria, you know? I'm awfully sorry to hear you've been dealing with that. It sounds terribly frustrating. :C
But wow - getting your dream job sounds absolutely delightful! That's so wonderful to hear that it's so ideal for you! I hope your week just keeps getting better and better for you. ❤️❤️
Wow, good luck with your internship shift! That sounds like a really fascinating place to be working - I hope that it's both a fun and great experience for you! Concerning your other tasks - I'd consider writing down also how much of a priority each one is, and focus on the ones that are more crucial first. Take things one at a time so you don't daunt yourself either, you know? Best of luck getting everything you need to do done~! Have you ever considered utilizing a site like Trello to help organize everything and have it in an easy to read format? I personally like to use that site for my own agenda/schedule; it can be very helpful!
Also, ah, I just wanted to say... I really... REALLY adore your Ocellus pet. I have a mighty intense obsession with eyeballs, and I think your pet is fascinating. I also love how you changed the eyes to red on the overlay. Apparently you and I have the same favorite color; I think red eyes are beyond gorgeous, personally. Aha - don't mind me. I just wanted to chime in and say how cool I think that is!

I'm gonna jump in with some responses, but warning, I tend to be really verbose (it's just how I talk I suppose...)
Congratulations on the DREAM JOB!! (Can I ask what it is?) And it's awesome to hear you get to work with one of your QPLPs too, that must be super nice to not have your work separate you. It sucks that you're being misgendered though, have you been open about your identity and preferred pronouns? One thing some people do that helps is wear a pronoun pin, so that no one can use the "I forgot" excuse. If they insist on misgendering you though, that just.. is absolutely horrible. I wish the workplace had some protection against stuff like that.
I mean... imagine if you're a cis male, and one of your coworkers insists on using she/her pronouns with you. I feel like that kind of thing, if you told higher management, they would take it really seriously. Maybe it could even count as breaking some rule like harassment. I wish people would treat everyone with the same respect, because it's the same thing when they use the wrong pronouns with us. Honestly, when people intentionally refuse to use someone's pronouns, I kinda want to misgender them back to show them how it feels, cuz it's just as hurtful to us. /rant
Anyway: I am sending you the BEST vibes and happy wishes <3 Though I want to mention, please don't feel like you will bother anyone by talking about your problems! We are all happy to listen, and if you want, you can hide it in a spoiler tag so no one has to read it except people who choose to. You don't have to share anything you're not comfortable with. But either way, I want you to do what will help YOU the most, what YOU want to do - Please don't worry about bothering anyone because you are NOT a bother. You are worth it!

Making a to-do list is such a great way to do things. What you said kinda reminds me of this comic from LunarBaboon. (That's a really wholesome, cute comic series btw for anyone who hasn't heard of it!) I find that writing tasks down makes them seem a lot more manageable.
It's interesting that suggested Trello - That's actually a tool that a lot of software developers use to manage their work, haha. I haven't used it myself, however. I used to have something on Todoist, and I've also heard Wunderlist is great (I have a friend who relies on it completely). But in the end, what I settled on for my to-do list is a whiteboard on the kitchen fridge. I guess the technological solution isn't always for everyone...
Though on a tangential note, I've actually been looking at project management tools recently because my best friend and I have been getting ready to start some projects together (and polish some projects we've made that need polishing). We are both coders and we're really good at making things together. I always feel blessed to have him because I feel like the level of cooperation in our workflow is rare. But we just "get" each other. We have different personalities, but we balance each other, and somehow we're always on the same page. We've both been burned out for a while but we made this resolution to start making stuff again, so I'm really excited and feeling the motivation return :)

Thank you! :3 I actually use a bullet journaling system, which is super helpful for me, but sometimes, it's an effort just to look at the list when my anxiety is especially high. I used to use Habitica, and it sometimes stressed me out more when things turned red cuz I hadn't done them in awhile. Trello looks similar, but more professional. It might be nice to check out, though!
THANK YOU. That means a lot to me, actually. Ocellus is probably the pet I'm the most proud of and their TC is two items away from being done (I have 10 items in my vault waiting to be added to their TC once i get those last two lol). I have an obsession with eyes and body horror.

That's a great comic! I've seen those comics before but never looked them up. I'll have to check out the site now. I looked at your response to Ryxe about Trello. I think I am more productive when I write something down in a tangible location (my journal/notebook) than using software. Software is super handy, but I dunno, there's a disconnect and then the little alert goes from green to yellow to red... Haha.

That sounds like an awesome museum tbh, things made out of glass are always so cool. I love the neat effects you can achieve with transparent materials. Though, whenever I am around anything that has a lot of glass in it, I get a bit anxious that I'll break something...
Your internship sounds nice and laidback though, what with working in the library and all. Definitely keep us posted on how it goes <3
As for me... I'm doing a bit better today, I actually woke up in the morning hooray!! And coded a teensy bit too, so that was nice. I also made a new user profile like 2 days ago, some of you might have noticed, but I'm actually really happy with how it turned out :D
One thing though was that I finally made the decision to quit CWs, so I left a bunch of forum groups and am resolving not to slot on any more. It's just way too expensive. I used to buy CSC but right now I have zero spending money, heck, I barely have rent money... So it's unsustainable haha. Besides, plenty of much cheaper things I can get with plain sP.

This weeks been kind of up and down for me, was pretty much stuck in the house cleaning, making food, doing various chores, etc. Also disappointing because there isn't enough in the budget for me to buy a costume I've been saving for the past year. On the other hand, I'll be hanging out with my friend tomorrow and I'll be staying overnight at her house :D
I've been looking forward to a convention I'll be going to in July as well, so it's been helping to keep my spirits up. Anyone else have something fun planned?
Congratulation on quitting the CW field. I've been slotting less and less recently. I've been losing interest in Subeta and I mostly never use my CW. I don't use my money anymore and I have a stash of CSC for now. But it's a good decision :)! Achievement granted for this morning! It can be rough sometimes. I'm glad you did. @ Bug [Edit] I was hopeful to go to my annual anime convention this year but my finances are not good at all and I'll need to cover some money for my mother. I hope you'll have a nice overnight stay! I haven't done that in ages haha.
My day is just ending - should've gone to bed already;; I was supposed to work on learning Japanese today, but it went over my head as per usual. (I don't really know any, and getting over the first hill is always the worst part, ne? Especially if you're on your own.) I also listened to a new single for the first time since it arrived on Monday (PHANTOM by defspiral, if anyone's familiar); it was enjoyable. c: Now I'm going to sneak off downstairs to do some guitar-practice before heading to bed (same as with language - I barely know anything & it's not leading anywhere, but it's better to make a habit of repeating what you know than giving it up all together, methinks).
Also, bath house - check!

Ah, that makes sense; maybe have another piece of paper overtop of your list in a way that makes it so you can only see 3-5 items on the list at a time to lessen your anxiety when looking at it? It's easy to get overwhelmed seeing something that's more extensive, but maybe if it looked smaller it'd be easier to manage and less daunting. (Out of sight, out of mind kind of concept?) Oh man yeah, I'm sure things turning red definitely makes it more intimidating. Trello does that if you put a date on something and miss it (it's kind of a faded red though, so less intense), but you don't have to put a due date on cards and can color them however you like with labels. (And you can even change the names of labels, so the colors can mean different things for each board.) But I can totally understand if you're more of a person who writes things down on actual paper!
Oh wow really? What two items are you still looking for concerning Ocellus? I'm also hugely into eyes and body horror - perhaps we could talk about it sometime, haha. (I actually own several eyeball-related pets - including Eyesight, Eyeball, Myopia, Sclera, Scopophobia, and Eyes, to name a few, aha!) What's the reason for your own interest in eyes/body horror? C: Just a fan of horror-related things in general, or is it something else?

Oh, have you decided what you and your friend (I'm not sure if you're comfortable with me saying his name publicly or not?) are going to use to organize everything, or were you still considering choices? Also it's great to hear you got some coding done - I love your new profile. It's so bright and wonderful looking, and that brace beside your username and the end brace next to the credits is clever. Verrrryyy clever. I love it. I also enjoy how the sections' titles have some fun letter-spacing hovering going on, too. It's fun just hovering over them and seeing the text woosh around! But I think I especially enjoy how the pet images zoom in on hover. Overall it's really fun and delightful~
Also, I read your status/profile note, and I think your decision to quit CWs is good, because if I'm not mistaken that was something that was really stressful / straining to you to try and keep up with all of it, and I think this will help a lot with some of your anxiety / at least take one stressor out of the picture. hug

To answer these inquiries, my day is thus far fabulous, aha. I've already done all my quests for Quest-A-Thon! I just made myself a chicken and rice meal that I'm going to eat soon, and then after that I need to get some chores done.
After that, if I have time, I hope to either
A) continue the artwork piece I'm doing (it's a gift for a friend! Does anyone want to see a WIP? If I show y'all you're going to need to keep it confidential though since I'm not done with it yet)
B) code my revamp for my pet Undertale (WARNING - Undertale has major spoilers for the game on its profile right now; I will be changing that in the revamp / have more of a warning; I so far have the main picture done that I'm going to be using for the revamp, as well as a custom overlay that's already been approved by staff, just waiting on working on some of the other things I need like the coding for the profile. Note that none of this is live, I code my profiles off-site.)
C) respond to friends / comments / catch up on socializing (I mean, everytime I've mentioned this publicly I basically jinx myself and don't manage to do it, so we'll see).
or D) either get some writing or gameplay time in (I need to finish Fire Emblem: Revelation aha and then start on Zero Time Dilemma - which means I need to replay Virtue's Last Reward for a refresher on the plot).
Obviously I can probably only do one of the above with my current schedule for today, so it's likely going to be drawing my picture for my friend given that MatPat is going to be streaming GT Live in a few hours (hopefully), and I love to watch the livestreams while I'm drawing, so...!
Also - I just got this random event like twice in the past hour, which is hecka awesome because I have 268 of these in my vault and lowkey collect them aha. Tiny flitting friends!

So I came back to this thread and just realized some people sneaked in and posted while I was typing my own reply, and since I had some things to do that I've just finished, I didn't notice right off the bat, aha! Time to reply~ (also I realized I forgot to respond to the Bathhouse Pools reminder too, haha. "You have visited the bathhouse 29 days in a row!" I've made the Pools my bookmark for this site, which makes it easier to ensure I visit the Pools daily given that I check Subeta daily!)

Ah hey, that's really cool to learn you're also studying Japanese! Man I need to remind myself to work on my Japanese more often too, it's kind of a slow endeavor, isn't it? How far are you in your studies? And what're you starting with? Are you trying to learn the nuances and syntax of the language, or are you trying to learn the pronunciation and katakana/hiragana? (It's too bad Subeta has an English-only rule, otherwise we could've been sharing some neat things we've learned about the language, yeah?)
I'm also learning it on my own / self studying, so I'm in the same boat! Are there any resources you're using? I've got several bookmarked personally for my own advances! (And I've also been sneaking some Japanese into my artwork as a way to practice it, haha!)
Good luck on your guitar practice too! Do you write music at all, or do you just play? Either way, learning and utilizing an instrument is really fun, heehee! ❤️❤️

Yeah, i'll probably be bringing my chiaki nanami cosplay for that day instead! I've still got a few things up my sleeve for if things go wrong haha. Cosplay as a whole just means so much to me, so it always makes me happy and gives me something to look forward to every year if I'm in a rut.

Nanami was one of my first cosplays actually!!!! I dressed as her way back in 2013 :D I've still got the whole outfit + wig nice and in great condition somehow lol.
I'll definitely post pictures if you'd like to see them, I'm almost certain there will be a danganronpa photoshoot this year too so I'll try to get some Komaeda's for ya while I'm there B)

(In fact, I own the pet MatPat on here because of that.) I watch all their livestreams (or catch up in my bell notifications if I can't be there at the time), so I get pretty bummed out when they cancel their streams because they make my day just a bit brighter with their silly antics. ;w; Maybe they'll do something tomorrow. I need my GT Live fix. They did just upload something new from E3 to Archive Land though, as well as a new Game Theory about fidget spinners... speaking of, did you get any of the limited edition merchandise they've been advertising lately? I bought both the Game Theory shirt as well as the fidget spinner, since one of my good friends recommended I get one to help with my anxiety, aha. Might as well get a GT-related one and support MatPat!

YESSSSS I adore them !!!!! I'm a huge fan of theories and other ways to look at my favorite games/shows/etc! GT is one of my favorite channels to do anything related to that (SuperCarlinBrothers is pretty good for specifically Disney though lol) Also, I never watched The Runner, was it any good?

Fidget cubes do wonders to help with my ADHD and anxiety, so I'm sure spinners work just as well! I've never had one but I've heard great things about it.
Komaeda is one of the most popular characters I've seen people cosplaying as (probably because he's the best character LOL). You totally should should cosplay him then, that'd be awesome! I rarely see anyone do his servant outfit.
