So and I were discussing some issues we had with slotting users and we both agreed that it would be nice if there were some sort of notification that went out when someone declines a slot. We're already notified when slots are all paid, couldn't there be one when someone declines it? Because I don't get the payment ping right away, recently because of that, I had an item waiting to be filled and I wasn't aware that the person who had slotted on it was suddenly declining it. A little thing that says a person is refusing the slot would be cool.
- Did I get this right lol?
You did!
Pinging my groups because I feel like this will impact any of y'all who take slots on items...
Also pinging and because they know more about how the approval/denial/'in-the-queue' notices work than I do - so maybe they have some insight into whether this is possible or not?
I'd like this too! I had my first sort refusal after Vensali and I had no idea it was there x:

This sounds like a very useful thing to have. So far I haven't had this happen to me but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time, and I can imagine it's frustrating not knowing what's going on... So, a ping like that would be helpful indeed ^_^
I really wish people that decided they didn't want a slot would send a comment or something instead of declining the payment ping. It's okay to change mind on something...
I'd totally like it too, since I had this problem multiple times. I kept waiting on a person to pay her slot and it took me days to noticed that she had dropped without saying anything... :(
I love this idea and i hope it comes to fruition. ^_^
This and also maybe a payment reminder ping that can be sent out by the submitter pressing a button next to unpaid users would be extra nice. Or even allow us to put a message in with submitting the batches so we can add things like "please pay in 24 hours" etc.
I support this 1000% percent as well as the notification for the decline. xD

This sounds super useful, and like said, I thought this was already a thing as well! So, definite support!
I'm definitely in support of this. It would be nice to know when someone declines a slot rather than having to constantly check the page
Can I add my two cents? It also would be nice if the notification ping to pay would include the name of the person pinging, so in case you are declining your slot, you can reasonably let them know, and let them know why. I myself declined a slot only a day or two ago because I had asked the seller if I could exchange one color skirt for another, and she said "yes". Since I could not recall her name, there was no place for me to state why I was declining. It probably was a big inconvenience for her, but I had no way of notifying her that she had made an error in slotting.
God yes, that would be so helpful!
It's been a long time since this has happened for me, but it has happened in the past, and it's annoying. When you submit an item you have only so many days to get it all paid and into the queue before the system tosses it back out- so unpaid slots are also an annoyance and I usually end up sending comments to those users which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't depending on their circumstances. It would be nice indeed if there was an easier way to send out a notice to those in slots to pay for their slot when so much time has passed (like a day).
But yeah, it'd be nice to know in case life gets us distracted (which it always does) that someone declined their slot.
It would indeed be nice if people were more considerate, but sometimes I think ppl are just scared, they forgot to say anything before and so their last resort is just to decline and hide. It's annoying though for sure- so this would at least solve that issue of not knowing because some ppl are inconsiderate.
Sounds useful to me! Would def like to have this!
- Right now as it is, if someone declines a slot, you get a ping saying that you owe csc to cover the slot. But nothing indicates that someone had declined it. You sort of have to go back and review your slot list and see who went where and that is pretty time consuming. Worse if they edit their slot post without alerting you to the change because then everything gets jumbled and confusing. I love 's idea of reminder pings. It would probably solve a lot of these issues.

I personally have yet to deal with a denial knocks on wood but this seems a bit odd that you wouldn't get notified.
These are great ideas, especially the one to possibly send a kind reminder about a payment, they would be handy since every once in a while people accidentally clear out events and miss them.
Would be nice to see some of this implemented! ❤️
