So! It dawned on me, I haven't written a poem in a while D: Any other out of practice poets want to share little warmups here? Just top of the head, not perfection, writing?? Anything from haiku to free verse <3 I don't need to be pinged for everything, but I'd love to read what you write!

Ok nervously getting the ball rolling:

Sing to me memories of sweetness lost reflection found let it whisper in the trees The soft truths I neglect too distracted to notice the gentle echos of their passing

Love, energy, vibration Is the same in every nation No language to separate Color to segregate Or intention to spread hate We are family, we are one Just like the stars, the moon and sun We all shine in the night sky we call life No competition, anger or strife Spiritual beings, queens and kings Won't you listen? It seems our souls are in need of a mission To wake up the masses and end the division

There wasn't a time I didn't love you, When spring was lush, glittering with dew When summer came I fell alone into my own pain Yet my longing never only waxed... never waned. Autumn on the wind I closed my eyes and dreamed Of reaching out for you, of being redeemed Afraid to say it but needing to let you know I sang truth into the quiet of the falling snow.

"I love you, my dear friend. Through seasons, over years. This is my hymn without end. My face wet with reverent tears How can I say what you mean to me? Just this, you are my life So I beg you on bended knee Please be my wife."

The world waits for none, but I'll wait for you For my love is evergreen, glittering with dew~

- absolutely lovely ❤ love when you get to writing a flow and it just starts pouring out. Tapping in to the frequency of the creative spirit of the world :-)

Soul sister, best friend Know we're in it until the end Separated by coasts but making to most of what we have, know one day we'll be toasting away the bad memories and making new ones Think of all the fake and true ones that we met along our journey. I know why we keep each other relevant in a world full of malevolent energies, We're in sync and we vibe on a level hard to describe. I've got your back and you have mine, I love your soul and to see your light shine You're a queen, what do you mean you're not feeling fine? Tune it out, don't you listen These fools don't know what they're missing A woman with a plan? Damn, with ambitions? Steer clear of the haters and their inhibitions. Live your life for yourself and nobody else And if you're ever feeling low on self esteem, pick up your crown, Queen, and look down the road to success and feel blessed, you can do this and you knew all along. Just keep doing your thing and prove them all wrong.

The fortress abandoned, battle long gone Only the bones remember horrors unleashed. The fight is done and each side lost. In the absence of war, peace should reign. Does it? Or do the ghosts stir just enough to raise the hair at the back of your neck Whispering in a broken rasp "Help me." I hear it, but I can not help the fallen. All I can do is whisper back "It's too late. Forgive me." Forgive me....Forgive me..... The words echo back And the air stirs at the nape of my neck. A ghost of memory, of better times that I miss. Will you never stop haunting me??

This is a test of patience Throw out the medication they force feed us as a nation, for you are not A sick patient, but divine creation Living proof of the truth we discovered all their lies and deceptions uncovered Help to shift our perception back to that of love, Why do we feel we're above other souls on this planet? I just don't understand it Every being has a purpose Meaning no life is worthless, Yet we cut down their homes, watch them burn to the ground Another tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? Out of sight out of mind as Mother Earth's heart pounds damn near out of her chest, All this pain that we caused her, can we put it to rest? At war with ourselves with no sign of the end Putting every life second behind that of men

I love how tender all of your writing is, it's so beautiful in a lulling way. Also, I love the rhymes in your romance poem, that entire poem was just the cutest thing and could be made into a song.

Your imagery is so real, even though this is a short writing, I can really feel the cold night and the stone beneath my feet. Perseverance against all odds... I love it.

Like waves the voices crashed—soaking the sandy terrain of an unwitting beach, swiping its loose silt, stealing particles from their former properties, and plunging them down into the deep blue abyss.

Like waves the voices splashed—drenching all that came across their path, overpowering the seemingly insignificant grains, attempting to weather away even the most prominent remnants of rock upon the shore.

Like waves the voices settled— leaving the land they once terrorized, retreating back into ocean from which they came, and glimmering beneath the setting sun as if nothing had ever occurred.
