I'm looking for ideas on a female character to be the unlikely companion of a knight. Any ideas?

Could you give a little more detail? What's the storyline? Why are the two characters together? Or What brought them together?

Some questions and maybe ideas What do you mean by "unlikely companion"? Did she get stuck with the knight by accident (or the other way around)? Maybe she (or he) got cursed and now they're stuck together? Is there going to be romance between the two? Is she actually the enemy/in opposition of the knight's purpose? Or, is she a sidekick? Knight's apprentice, or wannabe-knight-in-training? Fellow knight (but actually a woman dressed as a man)? Or on an even more extreme level, is she a "fangirl" of the knight and just won't stop following him around?
