Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? Sort of, I don't mind it. I can't play Heroes of the Storm. ;A; Sad days.

What makes you decide you play a game? Characters first, then story, then music and controls. But if the controls are crap, that's it for me.

What elements are important to you in a game? Story, character development, and character interaction.

What are some of your favorite games? Assassin's Creed 2, The Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Overwatch.

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Timed missions of any sort. Escorts of any sort where the person (or animal in some cases) is slower than you, the player.

What would you like to see more of in video games? Romanceless stories. I'm asexual off the internet and seeing more representation in that area would be welcomed.

Describe your ideal game. Well written characters, well written story, intuitive controls, perfect soundtrack. Something like Skyrim in terms of depth of world.

What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. Action-shooter with cyberpunk or steampunk elements. Asexual lead. Uh... that's it, really.

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? Not especially no. I don't mind playing like... card games super casually, but I wouldn't go out of my way to play them.

What makes you decide you play a game? Being able to create your own character is huge for me. I don't mind playing as someone already developed, but I like being able to submerse myself in a game using my own characters and designing how they look and generally converse.

What elements are important to you in a game? Storyline, character customization, companions or teammates (or at least people I can hang out with/romance).

What are some of your favorite games? Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Skyrim, Pokemon, Fire Emblem.

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Constant barrages of things catering to only male gamers. Meaningless side quests that are just go here, now go here, and then over here and oops, one more place to go!

What would you like to see more of in video games? Single-player storylines. I feel like everything coming out these days is shifting towards huge multiplayer, and I am not a fan. I play video games to do something by myself, and so multiplayers are a big no for me.

Describe your ideal game. Fantasy-based, character creation with a long, developed story and in-depth characters and relationships with said characters (both of a romantic and friendship way). Single-player.

What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. ^^ My ideal game pretty much sums this up.

Favorite Features in Games: ( please select all that apply ) Character customization ( appearance, clothing ) Overall storyline Side Quests Level up bonuses Achievements / Vanity Titles Crafting Loot / Treasure Companions Relationships Multiplayer Game soundtrack / music content Other: please specify (Visuals, Art Style)

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? I've never played those, and honestly I think I would prefer actually playing on a tabletop

What makes you decide you play a game? I think my criteria can be divided into three or four categories

  1. Story - I'm a sucker for a good story. This can either be a story that is gradually told throughout the course of the game, or a story that can only be found through hidden details or exploring every inch of the game. (ex. Splatoon, FNAF, Darks Souls [even though i haven't played through some of those])
  2. Replay-ability or amount of content - These are games with either branching paths and options that change how the story is told (Think Until Dawn, Fire Emblem: Awakening, etc) or a game that has a lot of or endless content, achievements/unlockables, or self-made goals that make it able to be played for a LONG time. (Think pokemon, animal crossing,
  3. Art Style/Visuals - These are the games that can be considered "very pretty" or pleasing to the eye. Games like Firewatch, Skyward Sword, Professor Layton(<3), Splatoon, etc. I know visuals don't make a game great on their own, but I believe they still count and can enhance the experience.
  4. Fun - I'm a big Nintendo player and a child at heart. I believe that games can just be fun. So I enjoy things like motion controls that enhance the immersion (skyward sword) and fun but possibly silly mechanics (Pokemon amie, and ink in splatoon)

What elements are important to you in a game? Besides what I mentioned before, I really enjoy character development. Whether it's discovering a characters backstory and realizing their motives, or seeing characters you know mature, change, and grow.

What are some of your favorite games? Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Professor Layton, Mario, Fire Emblem, Splatoon, Yoshi Island/Yoshi games, The first 2 Paper Marios, Legend of Zelda, Just Dance

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Tank controls, An overly competitive multiplayer, escort missions. Scrolling platform levels.

What would you like to see more of in video games? (Okay so these are all related to my current frustrations with the pokemon multiplayer but I think it could still count) I'd say if you're going to have a multiplayer competitive battle system, I'd like to see where more games attempt to match you up to users of the same skill level (ex: kinda like the ranking system that Splatoon has. If you are an S rank, you're typically going to be put with other S ranks) I think this would allow more players to feel open and invited to try multiplayer, instead of being afraid that they are just going to be put with a high-skill, high-level player. Especially for those who don't get to play games as quickly or finish them as quickly as others.

This issue is definitely more pokemon based, but if you're going to have a system like the GTS, (where players put up a pokemon they have and then put what they want) then I WISH there was a user based system for deeming what they think is fair or unfair. There are so many people on the GTS who will put up a common version exclusive from their game and request a legendary, a lv. 100 pokemon, or even an impossible pokemon (like a lv. 1 final evolution)

Describe your ideal game. What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. An Adventure/Role-playing game. Character customization for immersion. Interesting characters that have depth and character development + characters that can develop connections and bonds with your character (which you choose whom you would like to do this with) possibly a relationship. An immersive and expansive world with varying types of locales to visit. If there's any backtracking, I would like to see some indication - most likely from the locals - that the world is changing or you're making a difference as you go. Plenty of hidden secrets and details to further enhance history/story or game play. I love it when there are many alternative ways to take down enemies, instead of going head-to-head. A good cohesive story line, possibly some twists in it. Pleasing visuals to look at. Good music that further enhances the setting

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? I don't really care for them, honestly. I have other preferences before these.

What makes you decide you play a game? Many reasons.

  1. My current mood. I tend to be more in the mood for multiplayer games than single-player games, so a single-player really has to strike my fancy.
  2. Story. If the story interests me and makes me care, then it's a good game in my books. For example, I love the Mass Effect trilogy and the game Life is Strange for their stories. 3)Graphics. Graphics are a biggie for me, but I won't steer from a game if the graphics are just okay. 4)Fun. Overall if I enjoy a game, I'll keep playing it. Even if the story isn't the greatest or the graphics are just "meh." If I enjoy it then that's all that matters!

What elements are important to you in a game? Being able to create/customize your own character to make it personal to you. Story. Being able to play with my friends (via multiplayer or co-op campaigns).

What are some of your favorite games? The Mass Effect Trilogy, Destiny, Overwatch, Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door, Ark: Survival Evolved.

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Poor sportmanship in a multiplayer community ("tea-bagging" and that sort of gloating, name-calling). Rushed stories (as much as I love Destiny, the original story was rough lol). Oh, and NPCs that are programmed lousy, be it they easily get themselves killed if they're your squadmate or if their actions don't make sense.

What would you like to see more of in video games? Many multiplayers have or are considering introducing competitive playing (Destiny, and I heard Overwatch may do the same). Please, if you're going to introduce it, make it based on skill-level. Don't put me against someone who is obviously a much better player than me. More effort in single-player story lines. Games like Destiny, Fallout 4, and Mass Effect Andromeda ended up disappointing me with their story lines. I wish they were more thought-out and didn't feel so rushed.

Describe your ideal game. A huge game that is both single-player and multiplayer (so like...think how Call of Duty has a campaign but also allows you to play multiplayer). The single-player storyline is well thought out and makes you care about the characters. It paced well but doesn't have TOO many side-quests that make the campaign take forever to play. The multiplayer option allows you to team up with people of your choice (your friends) and otherwise matches you up with players of your skill abilities. This can be based on rank, K/D ratio, etc.

What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. The single-player is action/adventure, shooter (1st person vs 3rd person doesn't matter). Character customization. Character development. I love me some video game soundtracks so some brilliant pieces of music to make certain moments stand out. The multiplayer is also based on the same action/adventure and shooter feel.

Well this was fun :)

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? Yes, but not a fan of the pay to win model of HS and others, even though they're fun in gameplay.

What makes you decide you play a game? Solid gameplay/story, and I'm a sucker for customization so anything with a detailed system I'm very interested in. Good modding communities and support are also very swaying.

What elements are important to you in a game? Customization, well written dialogue/story, diverse characters, lore.

What are some of your favorite games? Pokemon, DMC/Bayonetta, Dragon's Dogma, TWEWY, Witcher 3, Animal Crossing

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Online communities, never used voice chat or talked much in games like Overwatch and etc because I'm afraid of the toxicity ^^;

What would you like to see more of in video games? Single player or co-op rather than multiplayer, more female leads without forced romances.

Describe your ideal game. What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. Open world RPG Hack and Slash with deep customization, expansive loot and weapon types, lovely OST and fleshed out world/story.

I'd enjoy a toyhou.se code if you wouldn't mind ^^

Favorite Features in Games: ( please select all that apply ) Character customization ( appearance, clothing ) Overall storyline Side Quests Level up bonuses Achievements / Vanity Titles Crafting Loot / Treasure Companions Relationships Multiplayer UHH ONLY COUCH CO-OP MATTERS TO ME (I mean like playing online is fine, but couch co-op needs to make a comeback Game soundtrack / music content Other: please specify

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? Uhhh I don't think I've ever really played one

What makes you decide you play a game? Honestly, character creation. My husband teases me about how much I love it. Story, whatever, let me customize. Let me play dress up. Also skills. LET ME LEARN ALL OF THE SKILLS. And swing a really big sword.

What elements are important to you in a game? Character creation and skills. I'm very superficial.

What are some of your favorite games? I'm kind of playing Tera right now. I'm secretly a big old FF nerd. I've owned and played almost every single Zelda game. I put considerable hours in to Guild Wars and ESO. I think Star Ocean is a deeply underappreciated gem. Silent Hill deserves an honorable mention because of how obsessed I was with it in high school. I'm very grateful my husband introduced me to Fallout. I enjoy Dragon Age.

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Overly difficult puzzles. I'm a hacker and a slasher at heart. I'm a button masher. I'm not very good at video games, or at thinking, so when I have to think to advance my game I get frustrated. (Especially when my husband, who is playing his own games, looks at my struggling for just a few seconds and comes up with the solution. This happened recently in BotW) I also hate console games with strictly online co-op. Listen, buddy, I want to play games with my husband. But I am not buying a second console. Give me top down camera, or split screen.

What would you like to see more of in video games? Transmogrification. I know Diablo 3 had it, I'm pretty sure Guild Wars 2 had it. Let me take the stats from armor A and shove them in to the appearance of armor B. It's dumb, it's useless, I love it. I am very superficial. As mentioned above, I'd love to see more co-op games with couch play. I mean, Marvel Ultimate Alliance did well, didn't it? Or was it just me who liked it? Additionally - co-op that combines couch play AND online. Once again, I know Diablo 3 has this. And uhh Gauntlet (I don't remember the subtitle) that was free on PS+ a few months (a year?) ago. My husband and I were able to play with a buddy and his partner in Canada. I can't believe it took me this long to remember Little Big Planet.

Describe your ideal game. For me, give me an RPG, with hecka creation sliders (And I don't just mean titty and ass sliders.) and hecka armor choices, and let me learn all of the skills because I want to be the most powerful. Let me ignore the main quest because who has time for that and harvest all of the plants and then turn them in to whatever else. Give me a giant monster lady to fall in love with, or a nice soft cinnamon roll boy who is too pure. But honestly I would pay real dollars for a game that let me a fatty swinging a big sword. idkidk I'm not a good person for this I just want to play dress up tbh

Favorite Game Types: ( please select all that apply ) Action Adventure Fighting Roleplaying Shooter Simulation Strategy / Trivia / Puzzle Survival / Survival Horror Other: Platformers ...I also like Visual Novels, but I don't know if that counts.

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? Haven't tried them, but they don't appeal to me.

What makes you decide you play a game? If the game play looks fun and if I like the art style.

What elements are important to you in a game? The game's controls are very important. If they're broken, it's very hard for me to enjoy the game. Also, the game's atmosphere (environment, music, etc.) makes a huge difference in whether I enjoy a game or not.

What are some of your favorite games? Okami, the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy, Pokemon Soul Silver, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Yoshi's Island, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (mostly because of the Chao Garden), Xenoblade Chronicles, Stardew Valley, Dust: An Elysian Tail

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Online communities tend to be too competitive and rude. Also, when a game is only playable online and/or the multiplayer is only online. Other things I hate are forced tutorials that last way too long, escort missions, anything so cryptic that you need to look up a guide to figure it out, rushing out a game just to meet a holiday deadline, and abusing the concept of DLC.

What would you like to see more of in video games? More diverse art styles - I don't care for overly realistic styles. It's much easier for me to get into a game that's more unrealistic. Less forced romances - You don't need romance to make a compelling story. Local multiplayer - I want to play in front of a TV with my friends, not screaming 12 year olds. Balanced online multiplayer - Most games don't seem to have a good way to match people with others who are at a similar skill level. More female main protagonists, especially ones that aren't overly sexualized. Diverse side quests - They could be the perfect time to build the characters and world in the game. But, they're usually just fetch quests.

Describe your ideal game. What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. Okami is a perfect example of what my ideal game would contain. An unrealistic and gorgeous art style, an unusual protagonist, interesting characters, a compelling story that knows when to be comedic and when to be serious, an amazing soundtrack, and places to explore that are filled with secrets and things to do.

Do you enjoy simulated board or card games, such as Blizzard's Hearthstone and Neo's Key Quest? No. There is a card game in the Witcher 3, but I don't really like it.

What makes you decide you play a game? I like games that have same-sex or bisexual romance options. I also tend to play games that have been recommended to me by friends.

What elements are important to you in a game? The gameplay should be easy to learn but still fun. The characters and plot are important. The characters should be interesting and the plot engaging. I also like when choice made in the game have consequences. Good graphics are important.

What are some of your favorite games? Dragon Age (I’ve liked them all), The Mass Effect Trilogy, Uncharted, Stardew Valley, Overwatch, Pokemon (my childhood), Guild Wars 2, The Sims 4

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? I don’t like competitive modes in pvp games. I also don’t like how new gaming consoles (like the ps4) can’t play games from past versions (ps3 games).

What would you like to see more of in video games? More asexual romance options. More choices that have consequences on the storyline.

Describe your ideal game. What type of game and what elements combined would make that game a great game for you? Please do not give any specific game ideas. An ideal game would let me choose how I enter the game (what type of character I am). The choices I make would affect people around me (I’m currently playing The Witcher 3 and this game is a good example of choices having consequences).

What makes you decide you play a game? I totally judge a book by its cover. If the graphics look good, I usually want to at least try it. I also watch Achievement Hunter and decide to play games if I enjoy their videos about them.

What elements are important to you in a game? My biggest desire in a game is a good storyline.

What are some of your favorite games? Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, and recently Stardew Valley.

What are some of your least favorite things in video games? Unwieldy controls. I feel like in 2017 you should have a good grasp on how to make smooth controls. Obviously this doesn't apply to older games, but it still deters me from playing some games.

What would you like to see more of in video games? Story!!! And I'm really liking the push toward really realistic graphics. I love when a game feels like a movie - I'm looking at you, Heavy Rain.
