I've looked over the guides and stuff but still confuses me.

My main question how do you guys have such high stat pets ? How do you get to a reasonable tier and how long do you think it takes ?

My highest tier is 3 lol.

Any advice is much appreciated. Currently been saving my XP from battle quests .

Getting a pet with high stats takes a lot of time and effort.

Depends what you consider a reasonable tier. Training a pet is a fairly slow process though that you need to put in daily effort to really see an impact. Keep training in the training center and doing your bqs. You won't see progress if you don't use your exp though.

Everyone starts somewhere, and our stats come from training and XP earned from battle quests and challengers too. Some people invest in boosters as well to speed things along. Like kbbob said, it's an exercise in patience. It takes a while (years in my case because lazy) and the persistence to put daily effort in even when you don't feel like you're making good progress.

FYI, I started training all of my lower tier pets starting early October 2016 through the training centre alone (no autro-training). Quite religiously, but I did miss a few days where I either got lazy or was too busy to keep up training. All of them are now at T6 after 7 months. With BQs this will even take less time.

I got from T6 in Oct 2015 to T10 in Aug 2016 with on and off training + BQ-ing. When I picked up regular training again, I moved from T10 to T11 in just a little over 3 months, then from T11 to T12 in 5 months. I used no more than 10 tomes and no Shinwas boosters during this period. I did buy CS challengers, though.

If you keep training and BQ-ing regularly, you'll be at T12 in two years without having to rely heavily on boosters. That is just through the training centre + BQs. Of course, it depends on how you distribute your stats and as said, how early you spend your EXP earned from battling.

Stat distribution, scrolls, and weapons will make a big difference as well. Maskros went from tier 11 to 12 in about half the time that it will take me because they could fight more challengers earlier than I could. The difference is my evenly trained pet vs one that is a health>strength>defense>speed build. Our Intellect is about the same.

I'm also super stingy when it comes to weapons. I'll totally buy 30m in books, but balk at a 20m weapon. Muh priorities.

Having a high tier pet takes a lot of time, effort and money. Training and stat boosting are expensive hobbies.

A reasonable tier all depends on your definition. Are you trying to beat a certain opponent? Are you trying to equip certain weapons? For me, desired tier is where I am at now because I can use all of the weapons in my armory, and beat 99% of opponents.

How long it takes to get to your desired stats is dependent on how much effort you want to put into battling. My main pet was at a low tier for years until I finally decided to do something about it. It took me two years since I made that decision to get him to mid T12. Meanwhile I have other pets I just started training at the beginning of this year that are almost T5 and a pet that was T5 the beginning of this year that will most likely be at T10 if not higher by the end of this year.

I know it looks daunting now to see your own stats and compare it to people in the thousands but you will get there a lot sooner than you think if you keep training and just stick with it. The hard decision will be figuring out a final build for your pet.

The more you battle, the easier it becomes. You will find strategies that work through trial and error. Eventually battling will make more sense. Good luck!
