Okay does anyone else have trouble finding non-CW pants to match their outfits? There are a couple ones I really like, but most of them are either too old (and have old art), too expensive (collection items, cash shop, or just not in shops at all), or too themed (for example: lotsa great pants from skitters and louis lamour, but the former tends to be torn/bloody and the latter bright pink and stuff).

Okay anyway, my current problem is this: Emma and Esther are getting married today, and I don't have any good dress pants to wear to the wedding. I really want to show up dressed properly, but I also don't like skirts/dresses so I don't wanna go that route except as a last resort.

I'm hoping to find a pair of gray dress pants (ideally) or black/dark. Brown might be okay, but it just seems more casual to me. So far, these are my ideas:

- looks a bit too casual, especially with hands in pockets - I wanna figure out what the pattern is on the bottom before I wear it, i mean i got this from a zombie. - I just don't like how patterned these are, it makes it look too informal, but maybe esthemma like gardens enough that they wouldn't mind?

Please help!

P.S. Belt suggestions to go with the pants would be great too. Also shirt and stuff. What are you even supposed to wear to weddings :(

oh lordy i went through the same problem before i gave up and decided i'd be an overgrown mint leaf at the reception

there's the series if you haven't seen those yet and the if you want to be a little more avant garde i guess..? i think the series goes with the decanter but i'm not entirely sure, and you'd still need a shirt s:

there's a full series of dressed to nines clothes from grab bags a few years back, which has tops i like , generally i match those with etc.

belts are more difficult for me; most of what i have is old or high waisted x: is ok i think. shoes i have no idea, 90% of the time i pick whatever i have that looks the most "it's okay i guess" and hide one foot behind a dog lmao

Yeah lmao... as you can see, I gave up and put on a dress. X_X

Belts are IMPOSSIBLE omg... I actually tried to pair some of those paints with belts but the belts were always too high, too low, or at just the wrong angle to not completely cover the waistline of the pants.

I think one issue with Subeta's items in general though is that the most common/ordinary items are also the oldest and most in need of revamp haha. So there are actually plain black/brown pants that might even work if the art were just updated a bit.

and - I like these a LOT. I love the decanters because of the shape of the pants, but I dislike the pattern on the side. The pin cushions seem fancy enough, but I have the same complaint with the patterns, and I think the ankles are too loose-fitting.

are great, but they do look like they need an ironing, don't they? So I counted those out for the wedding.

(These were all great suggestions btw! And normally I like these, I'm just trying to raise my standards cuz of the wedding haha.)

And omg the shoes are the worst too... Honestly, when you consider the trials of trying to match belt with pants with shoes, no wonder dresses are so goddamn popular on this site XD

nah, i get it! i was trying to put together a male ha for references (and i'm doing round 2 of that this morning) and it's just the most frustrating thing... i don't change clothes often but whenever i try to use pants i understand the complaints about male ha items so much more lmao sometimes i wish the less-obvious sets ended up closer to each other in the stores/were more obvious, or someone on the art team would flat-out say "this goes with this" like the guinea pig toys and the vintage seed packet p:
