Can we please get a quick link to Bird Watching on the News Page?

I keep forgetting it exists. We had it for Bug Catching, I think(?)

I disagree. Might be okay to put up bird watching and bug catching for a week or two each season when they start up again, but I don't think they should stay there the whole time. People keep forgetting about the bathhouse too, or gardening or item hunt, etc. Before you know it there will be a ton of links.

It should be reserved for things the staff want to highlight, events and such. I can see adding a link when a new activity shows up or an old activity is revamped. Example, when they updated fishing, or added the 2048 and gravedigger games. Then put those up for a few weeks or so.

I don't even know why the recycle beast is there. Maybe instead, remove the recycle beast and rotate an activity/game in there - a new one each week or even each month perhaps.

There are plenty of ways to make reminders for yourself. Create your own list of dailies. Put it in your profile, on your dashboard notepad, or a folder of bookmarks in your browser. You can use someone else's "Dailies guide" (my profile has one), or [topic not found], or make birdwatching your home page on your browser.

I think the recycle beast is there because it used to get its own news post every night at midnight when it changed items, so it was just moved there to reduce news posts but still appear on the news page

Oh right! I remember that now that you mention it. :). If they want to keep it, I still think it might be nice to add a rotating activity/game in the spot just under it - a sort of "try this out" thing. Might lead people to new activities they either never knew about, or forgot about.

I wouldn't mind that at all. Maybe a weekly or monthly spotlight game.

I do remember hearing about a single page with all the dailies on it. Maybe that will finally come out soonish, that would solve all of the problems here and that page could be linked in that news spot instead :)

Oh a single page with all the links would be great. The explore map is pretty, and its great to use in the early days when hunting around and learning the site. But when I do my dailies, I just want to run through everything quickly, just straight out links all in one place.

Last year it was on the front page of News for a month. I did Suggest it be kept all season last year and this was rejected by staff.

If it can't be on the news page, can Rosemary at least actually appear at Peka Park? I don't seem to visit during the day, so I don't know if she's there then, but it's rather challenging to find bird-watching if you visit during "night". xD

She is on the map during the day, but not at night. I agree she should be there at night too. It confused me at first as I couldn't find her at all.

As for this suggestion, I remember Bug Catching was there all summer, and other dailies that are only available for a bit of time also go there (like Coda Caves). So I support this daily. I really don't see how it can hurt, also, so there seems no reason to NOT support it, I mean it's a convenient link for something that is somewhat tricky to find otherwise.
