I find my awakening in the receding clutch of winter. My face breaks through the layer of soil that has settled over me. My first breath aboveground is of pine and crisp air. I will the vines that have ensnarled my fingertips and ankles to slacken their grip, to wake as I do.
The footsteps that I leave behind fertilize the soil; in the indents my soles leave, green blades of grass part the earth and ascend sleepily towards the winking sunshine. The forest brightens; color has infused the leaves once again. I kiss an apple tree and its bounty falls to the floor around me, ripe.
I feel the weakness of the forest reverberate in my bones. The trees call to me with hollow voices that I might breathe life back into them. I whisper yellow-gold flourishes into their bark and taste sap, amber-sweet on my lips. I touch their branches lightly and the sleepy leaves begin their awakening.
My forest has darkened considerably this year; it is an unquestionable weight I feel in the soles of my feet as I step around the bleary-eyed creatures. The ebbing of my heart, weak and quaint, is the heart of the forest, and it has never been so faint.
And I smell blood on the prevailing wind; it is misplaced amidst the rebirth of the florae and fauna. Death has no place where I am; the winter is for that, and the winter is cold and fatal. (I count the years that pass when it seems that he has become weak, for someday I know that I may overcome him.) But still I can see in my mind’s eye a hub of death, surrounded by darkness, trails of blood and decay. Black, rotting. And somewhere deep within the forest, the echoes of a sorrow so private it has festered within the heart of one disparate being.
I find the first buck in a grove near my waking-place. In death, he has called for me; a wooden arrow has pierced his chest. I kneel to him and touch my lips to the wound. Where my skin touches the earth, vines spring up and curl around his still body, pulling it under the soil, far, far, so that it cannot disrupt the replenishing of the forest. Before I sleep, I will honor his body, wear his skin; his death will not have been for naught.
The children of the forest are my children; life must prevail. I dread the time of the year that sleep lowers my eyelids and lives are stolen in the night by the cold. Death has no place here, where I am; it must be expelled. I will find the sorrowful being that haunts these woods and slaughters the children of the earth.
This spring, the deer will birth twice as many fawns as those that were slaughtered. I have bestowed my blessing upon the head of each chosen doe as she sleeps. Soon, they will wake.
I am a tall oak; my roots span thousands of miles below the earth. My veins are bursting with water, with sustenance. My roots break earth and envelop my children, give them life again. And when I must sleep once more, I will leave them with the promise of life so that they will await my return. (Part of a joint story with )

Plot Basis:
Euna is a Kumiho (9 tail fox)
Who has been around for a very long time. She ages very slowly and passes as a high schooler.
She attends a school for mythical creatures currently and has always resided in Korea.
When she shifts her other self has a complete different personality as she has not masted her true form yet.
Its still her but she cant control her urges or needs and she ends up reverting to old dialect in speech.
She is very carefree but that leads her into trouble more often than not.
Also loves the rain because it gives her power momentarily. Makes her have an aura
(Normal and gifted humans live together in the same world so the school has no need to be hidden and she has no reason to hide)

Story
Edrick was 15 when he was drafted for the war in 1823, serving many years in The Spanish Civil War. When he was 35, he fell in love with a woman named Annabelle. Every three days, he would sneak out of his posting and meet with her. Edrick never knew he was being watched sneaking off by his displeasing General. Running as far as he could from the blasts, Edrick would meet his love every three days in the old graveyard, and that's where they spent passionate times together. Edrick slowly counted the days, and on one of their many third day meetings; he left to meet her, only she wasn't there. He became frantic, his heart skipping beats. "Looking for something?" Edrick turned around to the voice of his General. His fangs were drawn, and his love was helplessly clutched in his grasp, her face distorted with fear. "Let her go!" Edrick pleaded. "I'll do anything for her!" The General looked at her "Anything?" He asked. "Would you die for her?". Annabelle cried out and her attempts at escaping were ruthless. "Yes" Edrick said. She screamed at them, falling to the ground as she was let go. The General appeared behind Edrick "You foolish mortal..". He sunk his fangs into his neck. Dropping his gun, Edrick moaned in pain as his life was drained away. The General whispered into his ear "Tonight is the night you will become a vampire. You will never get to see your family or friends ever again". Edrick's world went black as he fell to the ground, victimized to nightfall.
There used to be love and light in Edrick's life; now he just sits there wasting away, like an old clock that has stopped ticking that has been long forgotten about. People see him as being nothing more then a beast; who feasts on human blood for no reason, but to him, it brings back memories. Recollections of when he used to immerse his human teeth into Annabelle's soft skin, tasting her sweet blood. Edrick was never always this cold or futile. Since he was turned into a vampire, his purpose faded away along with all hopes of humanity. Throughout the centuries, he's questioned himself as to why his maker let him live. His master released him a 100 years ago, but Edrick still gets the odd visit from him, and he cannot stand the very sight of him. Edrick is different from other vampires - he has human emotions and feelings; unlike the rest, who are robotic and seamlessly cold. He finally gave up the memory of Annabelle, because blood shed tears cannot bring her back from the dead. He watched her grow and meet a new love and kept an eye on her family; then one by one, he watched his friends and family die from old age, and Edrick knew he was all alone. Contemplating, a chilling neigh broke the silence. Excited, Edrick knocked over his brass oil lamp and went to the door. Upon opening it, a jet black stallion with red glowing eyes stood before him. Placing his hand on his maw, he stroked his horse and kissed his maw. "I haven't seen you in 50 years. Where have you been?" The animal nickered and disappeared. Edrick's horse bonded by his blood, had become immortal when he fell.
Edrick's first night as a vampire was difficult. He met the harsh reality of what he really was; starving for human food. He learned to adapt to the taste of human blood, but he will give anything to eat human food once again. For an eternity, Edrick has been plotting the death of his maker, unsure of how he'll go about it. He hopes that one day, he'll meet another love of his life, but until then, he is seeking his revenge.

@ Hatsune before I start writing yours, I have a question! I read up on the Kumiho and it said they're usually evil creatures who prey on people, eating and killing them. Is Euna's Kumiho personality evil? And is her human personality the opposite? c:

When you say Edric was drafted in 1823 for the Spanish Civil War, I am a bit confused because the Spanish Civil War took place from 17 July 1936 – 1 April 1939! I can either leave the war unspecified or change the date, it's up to you ^^
She used to be all around evil taking the liver of her victims to gain power. People used to hire her and she would take the jobs for the wealth and saisfaction. She is growing so slowly now days due to the fact she is trying to gain a new leaf and fresh start but it's a hard thing to do when it's in your nature to kill. Her human self is not at all like her other self. It's opposite now and she works hard to keep it that way and tame the fox even though it's difficult. Why should she have to be known as evil?

I have a rough first draft for you here! I've got to change up the numbers a bit so they make sense but I have a couple questions in the text in bold that I'd like you to answer if you can! They'll help me write the story better :) Let me know if you want me to add anything in to the plot. It jumps around in time because I felt that was the best way to write it with memories and everything! I'm also going to add more memories of his time with and watching Annabelle and add more bulk to the story, so this is more like a semi-developed skeleton.
I was seriously drawn into the story. It's wonderful! I see "(HOW DID HE MEET HER? WAS SHE A NURSE WITH HIS REGIMENT?)" I thought about it... maybe he can meet her when he's at the army hospital, getting a lodged bullet dug out of his side, or stomach and it missed all the vital organs and main arteries...
What she looks like? I don't know. For that time period, I imagine she has shoulder length, wavy brown hair.
Oh! I'll also take another slot if one's open for CSC/SP. I have a few stories that need to be done lol ^^;

What do you think? it should be mostly done - i will just do one more read through if you have no more changes to request!
I DID add a big change into it - that Annabelle was pregnant with Edrick's baby at the time Edrick was killed because I think it makes the story a lot sadder and adds to the tension between Edrick and the General because the General implies in the beginning that he's stalking her and will kill her (he knows she's Edrick's daughter). If you would like me to change their daughter's name, I will do so!

Pet: Rebelling (character name is Caleb) Plot Basis: Year is 2210, the world has changed completely. Technology took over and the government is ruled by big corporations (imagine McDonalds being the president of US). Life is hard, if you don't obey the government, you will get executed, eliminated or will simply desapear. In the biggest country of the world, named HelvÃti, a insurgence arises. They fight against this abusive privatized government. Caleb decides to join them after a bomb sent by the government kills his mother and younger brother. The bomb was sent to eliminate a shanty town that was being a problem to the country. In the insurgence, Caleb becomes one of the most brutal and efficient soldiers. He soon becomes one of the leaders, spreading the rebellion around and recruiting more people to join the cause. He is planing a massive attack directly to the government leaders. Tone: Up to you! Pet: Subject Plot Basis: Subject only knows her name was "Subject". It was given to her by the scientists that turned her into a test subject. They did tests and injections-- zombie viruses. One day, she breaks free from the lab and realizes she has super strength. Half human, half zombie. Still needs to eat brains, but she preys on the dying or eats from the dead. One brain can keep her full for 3-4 days before she needs to feed again.
