I had a Carl quest for the first, bought the items, gave them to him, got an error page about something "user item", checked, was on the same quest, bought items again, turned them in again and didn't get the bracelet piece. Shinwa sent me off to Carl again, but he refuses to give the missing piece!

Very unfortunate, esp. since Shinwa has been very unforthcoming with boosters for a long time anyway, esp. int ones :-(

edit: since I can't wait with all my quests until this gets resolved (basically I should be done by now and off to bed) I'm buying a piece now, hoping to at least be rewarded with a booster in the end and not a piece of coal for 200k

edit2: O.K., now this comes unexpected, she doesn't accept the bought shard!!!! Still sending me off to Carl! So I did an Alibi quest for Carl, trying to lure her into thinking my Shard came from him, but she cannot be tricked :-(

Same thing just happened with me. She sent me to maleria if that matters. The error said something about insert user item or something along those lines

aaaaah, so it's a new bug, not just a random error ...

Please, please fix it for tomorrow - typically happening on a Friday! :-(

I'm having this issue as well, with the same insert user item error the first time. I didn't think to copy it at the time, not realizing there was an issue, but now I'm just not getting the bracelet.

Same thing happened to me on bracelet with Wizard quest.

having the same issue happen currently..got an error on a Library quest and won't let me continue. honestly not sure who to ping to see if we can get some help though.

Subeta stuff is super, but they have a history of never checking the effect of their changes and blowing (other parts of) the site with this.

For what it's worth, Shinwa Quests worked fine for me today, so, hopefully your issue has been fixed for now and quests will work for you today.

If I had to take a guess, it might be that you got caught by the name change (starting Shinwa after the # was taken out, but then trying to complete the quest after the # was put back into the item name. That would, at least, be one explanation of why Shinwa didn't recognize the correct bracelet piece when you all tried to return it. I'm also guessing that if the item name changed before you completed the quest she sent you to, then that might have caused a user error when that quest tried to figure out what extra steps to take (in this case, give you the bracelet piece she wanted). Of course, I'm just guessing so it could be something totally different.

For what it's worth, Shinwa usually accepts the bracelet piece she wanted no matter where you get it from - questing, purchase, or even one stored previously in your vault. Which is one reason why I think the name change was involved in her refusal.

Hopefully there will be some way to avoid this sort of lockout in the future.

I read the sidebar notification as "Shinwa's bracelet piece got eaten by a boa constrictor" and thought, gosh, that's an interesting new random event!

So Im not clear is it safe to do the Shinwa quests now? I do her before all the others obvs, and will await your sage advice. dont give them ideas! ;0)

I just started Shinwa and so far so good - piece one earned from Maleria and turned in successfully.
