Is there a reason there isn't a humming power crystal equivalent to wizard tokens, , or ? Crystal shop items tend to cost upwards of 500 crystals. There's also no way to cash crystals out (much like there was no way to convert lounge and steamworks trinkets once), which is maybe part of the point, I don't know. Because availability fluctuates, the staff would have some control over how many and when combined frag crystals were in heavy circulation. Even a small lump, like a 25-crystal equivalent, would make a big difference (maybe even make it easier on the servers when a universal remote or something pops up for sale? I don't know if they actually get hit any worse than recycle beast items do every midnight =^^=)

I'm pretty sure the 50 Vesnali Coins item is only available as an achievement prize, and I also think I remember reading that staff doesn't want to do more items like the Wizard Tokens because currencies aren't meant to be taken back out of the bank once they're added.
Yes, the 50 point Vesnali coin is a special item that's not really given out except for the achievement (and maybe a couple of random times for something, but definitely not often).
I agree it's kind of weird that some currencies have ways to get them back out, like Lounge trinkets into Steamworks trinkets, the Wizard tokens, even forum points still have the raffle ticket you can buy. But it's only those currencies for some reason. I don't know if anything should be changed though, it's a weird thing.
The power crystals aren't too hard to store up on though. I usually frag my extra items from quests and sometimes vending, and I get a decent amount that way.
With Wizard tokens and Raffle tickets you used to collect the item before they were able to be added to the currency bank. I'm not sure why the Wizard Tokens can come back out unless the currency bank was added back when they still had to be spent from the inventory? Maybe it was a way to remove just what you intended to spend since REs still stole items at that time too
I think having it so that Wizard tokens can be removed makes sense just because of how many things they're used for, in some cases it probably would be easier to just sell the tokens directly instead of someone saying I'll vend for you or I'll buy a TS item for you or whatever. With the other currencies it's easier to just buy items from that currency's shop and sell them at the prices others have them listed for, or try to sell them at a certain rate of sP per currency point or whatever.
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. I do agree that it's strange how there are some inconsistencies with how the currencies work, but it's been that way for so long and people are used to it. I'm not sure what the best way of implementing changes would be.
