About a month ago I had over 3000 events I allowed to stack up so I started going back through and deleting stuff. Tonight I finally got my list down to just 33. Some of it was harder to let go than others, like achievements related to my battle pet, but I just couldn't part with some of the old plot forum group pings - there were a lot of really good memories involved with those. Right now my oldest event is from the Battle Chat 2015 topic dated to 2/13, and looking back at the post I was pinged over, I'm amazed at how much time has passed!

So I got to thinking and now I'm curious about other users. What's your oldest event? Do you even keep any of them, or do you delete them as soon as they come?

I don't keep any. I like things clutter-free on my notifications sidebar. :3

I have 3 events from last Sunday. I keep events that are reminders, like HA contests and comments, until I'm done with them. Then, I delete them.

Having events stacked up like that would drive me nuts. The longest I'll keep an event around is for a week. Usually it's a PM or comment I mean to reply to, but if that much time goes by I figure that I just don't have the heart to reply with anything.

If an event means something significant to me, like spotlight wins, I'll take a screenshot of it to save and delete the event. I really can't stand clutter like that.

For a long time I kept the notification about my first and only pet spotlight winner. I finally decided to get rid of it though, since I had already screencapped it and whatnot. And I think I had another event that was possibly older about a gift someone sent me but I finally let that go too. Now the oldest event I have it just from yesterday morning. I try to keep it cleaned out as much as possible now.

I keep some pings as reminders. But eventually they all get deleted. For achievement events. I go to the achievement posting thread and update with what's new. BQ ping, I'll keep as a reminder to do them and once done, I delete them. But yeah, I don't like it too cluttered.

Wow, so many of you look at this from a more practical stand point. I guess I'm just a hoarder! Haha. I might go ahead and just wipe the slate clean too after a final page-save/screenshot.

A comment event from my waifu that I forgot to delete from a few hours ago. I don't keep them since it clutters very quickly. I do keep some pings for CW payment (or to remind myself to go back to a certain topic).

I have two game alerts, blackout - 10 hours ago and reflection - 9 hours ago. I can't stand having events pile up. That does come back to bite me as I've deleted pings and comments I needed to reply to.

Weirdly enough I do feel lighter. I'm not carrying around old site history any more, and I did make a final save of the event listing/dates beforehand as a permanent memory.

:) I usually don't let my events stack much more than 350. I definitely start cutting some after 400. At the moment though it's at 315 events with my oldest being from 1-6-2017. =_=' My sister, , has been training me to 'let it go' as it drives her nuts. But I can understand wanted to keep around important events that have changed history, for Subeta or you personally. I've taken to making screenshots (not that I look at them often, but it's fun remembering). :)
