What are you excited for this Masquerade? I am looking forward to the new items

Yeah, I'm hoping it starts today too. If not today, then hopefully by the end of the week at least.

I always like seeing the new items, and I'm especially excited to see if there's more to do with the cyberpunk theme this year!

We usually get 10-11 days for Masq, but definitely hoping for today as well.

I'm always endlessly excited for new items and seeing everyone dressed up. And like Laurey, I want to see if the cyberpunk theme of Lower Ziara is explored more. I'd love to see more of Ziara anyway.

Yeah, I'd love to see more of Ziara. I also would love to see something more done with the Galaxan Wastelands. I know they have the minions out there, but I feel like the rest of that area has potential for some other fun things.

Maybe not this year, but in the future perhaps.

Oh, that reminds me to go along with the cyberpunk theme, it would be cool to see a new pet color that's like digital technology based. I know people have asked for one.

I'd really like to see more stuff having to do with Lower Ziara personally x) More realistically though, I'm looking forward to the new food items, and new masq-related achievements!

Ziara feels a little... Barren but cluttered lol. Lots of buildings, but few are actually clickable. There's a lot of area that could be set up to explore in the Wastelands. Maybe some more riftborn to find lol.

It would be cool if we got something like a clickable area that takes us to Lower Ziara that has its own separate map. Kind of like the other part of Centropolis (even though it doesn't have a map image yet, but there are things there).

That would be lovely. There's clearly a lot of buildings in the "lower" areas, so giving it it's own portion to click and show the streets of Lower Ziara, with some Surveillance Drones in the sky. Subeta has done a nice job setting up lore and a landscape for it through recent items. Add to the sewer systems already hinted at twice now, iirc. _

Yes, I definitely like the expanding of the lore, even if we don't get a map section added this year. It's fun to have a bit of a twist on the other part of Ziara, instead of just the steampunk high society kind of thing.

They summed up the user base's excitement with "Who wants to hang around with snooty steampunk gentry when there's a high-tech cyber underground to explore?" 😂 Now we're all just eagerly awaiting seeing how Lower Ziara creeps into the Menagerie.

Unless they were big-time trolling us :P

But I think it's neat to have something a bit different this year, instead of just the same thing again.

Oh yeah! Steampunk is great, but to see cyberpunk challenging and opposing it, it really changes the event. It gives more ideas and options for users.

I actually see they have stealthily added some new lifelike dolls to the item directory, so the next news post is likely to be for that and not Masquerade.

Yeah! I think both are cool, so nothing against steampunk. But it's fun to have new things after a while, since this event has been going on since 2009 without much change. And I wouldn't be surprised if we can have the cyberpunk stuff but also participate in the dancing and get trinkets. Even if some of our HAs will stand out a bit at the party. :P

I hope it starts fairly soon. I just want to amass lots and lots of trinkets lol and I have a few outfits I made and want to wear.

At least they're cute, it should make people happy. Sort of. 😂

Right? It can get stagnant, it really can. At least adding in a new element breathes new life and interest into the event! It makes it fun and generates interest.

i'm not really feeling the steampunk or the cyberpunk thing while i'm making my avatars, but i'm having loads of fun putting together masked outfits in general while we wait o: i'm excited to see all the new clothes, and all the new booze and nibbles i'm going to buy for grillby 8)
