Laced ribbon of nostalgia is what comes to mind. Other ideas include: mud (because I'm sure there's a great description pun waiting to be made), vintage (not the right part of speech but screw that. You could even make the description to lampshade that and call it hipster!), authenticity (if vintage just doesn't work), of plainness, of simplicity, of memories. Actually I think I like Laced Ribbon of Vintage best:

Grammar is far too mainstream for this hipster. And yes, that aged color is authentic.

or something along those lines.
