Hello Art Market,
It's been a while since my last buying thread! I have a frankly ridiculous amount of both sP and CSC (about 400 mil and 5k respectively) that I would like to convert into art and/or writing. Unfortunately, while I usually like to buy some USD commissions around this time (for my birthday!) I still need about $100 more to cover my textbooks before the end of break (ughhh) so that's pretty doubtful at the moment. That said, I hope you're still interested, here are my dudes.
my dudes (these are links to profiles by the way)
// Jilles, puppy dog and villain's lair miniboss (quick best ref)
// Wesley, ticking anxiety bomb whose friends are all birds (quick best ref)
// Daniel, bodyguard who loves his boss and doesn't have a smoking problem (quick best ref)
// Tennant, southern dandy and crime boss' ironic right hand (quick best ref)
Because I am extremely organized about this one thing in particular, I have a a website specifically for requesting art here that should cover most of what you want or need to know. But if you don't want to use that:
art request
//WHAT I WANT
I am looking for: -Art of any of these characters - by all means, pick whoever you'd prefer to draw -A wide range of styles and skill levels -Particularly styles that are semi-realistic, cartoony, comicky, or very expressive -Sketchy or finished art, digital or traditional -Drawings that take the character's physical traits into consideration (!) -Experimental stuff, weird poses/expressions/scenarios, even (especially) if it makes them look less "cool" -Fun cartoony doodles -Pages of sketches, I really love these -Pixels -Single- or multiple-character art -Art that works well for desktops and device backgrounds (i.e. fills its space well and is of decent resolution)
I'm not looking for: -Heavily referenced faces (from photos or other drawings) -Non-chibi styles that make characters look very anime/young/feminine/same-y (No offence meant to people with styles like that, they can be lovely, I just don't think it suits my characters) -Chibis with one-size-fits-all features
//SUGGESTIONS
(None of these are anything you have to do - just some ideas in case they help!)
Jilles looking uneasy, looking sick, ill and huddled up in a blanket, exhausted, flustered, rubbing the back of his neck, tugging on his gloves, fingers laced, drinking coffee from a mug or thermos, threatening someone with a corkscrew
Wesley nervous, sad, scared, biting his lip, scratching his head, hugging his knees, seeking comfort from a fluffy white cat, reading and looking disinterested in you, with a hawk doing falconry stuff, hunting, using a laptop
Daniel smoking, sitting or standing around looking relaxed or weary, trying to occupy his hands (steepling or lacing his fingers, wringing his hands, spinning a cigarette), smoking, (cannot be overstated, he should probably be smoking), drinking (beer or wine), cooking, with an "are you kidding me?" look, rubbing his temples, trying to relax after being a little roughed up, lying in bed looking distant
Tennant lounging around looking pleased with himself, smiling warmly, making flamboyant hand gestures, beat up (black eye, bruised, bloody nose, cut lip, etc.) and looking very pleased with himself (masochist!), beat up but looking very calm and content, smoking, looking a little menacing or like he's egging somebody on, blood (that isn't his) on his hand
Jilles and Wes// Wes reading sitting against Jilles, distressed Wes waiting on nauseous/generally unwell Jilles, Jilles being all intimidating to keep someone away from Wes hiding behind
Daniel and Tennant// Couple stuff, any sort of kissing/cuddling, arm(s) around each other, Daniel carrying Tennant, Daniel tending to a Tennant after Tennant got into fight and being annoyed that he got into one, Tennant comforting a very depressed Daniel
Right now my hierarchy of character interest is something like Daniel and/or Tennant>Wesley>Jilles, if you need help picking. But I do like all of them.
As for the writing request, I am still organized and have a website for that too! I do have more information that isn't on the website, though, so if you're interested in writing somebody do let me know and I'll get some more stuff for you. I will pay you fairly as well! None of that "writing is worth 1/10 of visual art" nonsense.
Even if you just want to toss out a one-sentence prompt or drawing idea I'm all for it and I'll probably toss a WL item or something at you. That's how much I want ideas.
If you're at all interested in writing for me, just let me know! You can tell me things like who you want to write, how much you expect to write, and how much you'd like to be paid. Or not. I probably won't turn you down, honestly. You're also more than welcome to stay and hang out, ask me more questions about them for the purpose of writing things (I have a lot more than I remembered/bothered to write out worked out), ask me questions about them for the sake of indulging me, anything like that.
Hi! I hope you don't mind that I'm drawing one of your characters (not looking for compensation!) because I am trying to improve in the craft. Does Daniel have a preference when it comes to filtered/filterless cigarettes?
I have commisisons open here if you'd like to look at them :>
If its not really your taste I understand and I wish you luck !~
Oooh, thank you for choosing my character to play with, that's flattering! Filtered cigarettes for Daniel.
Hey, thank you! I'm interested, I'll hit you up in your thread.
Totally willing to draw one of your swell fellas if you like! My art gallery is over yonder, and I'd only ask for a Harvest Potion!
Haha, thank you! I would love for you to. I'm totally willing to pay more than that too! Whatever you feel like doing is cool. c=
Hey, I could give writing your characters a go! Jilles and Wesley's brotherhood interests me as a subject, but I'm willing to entertain other ideas if you have a wishlist. As far as payment it would depend on length and such, but since I figure I'd mostly be doing short scenes and character studies I don't intend to charge much.
If you're interested at this time I can send you a writing sample via PM and we can discuss it in more detail. Thanks for your time!
Hello! I actually have been actively trying to find writers lately so that request page that I linked in the first post is actually quite up-to-date. I'm not worried about payment either. Go ahead and drop me a line, thanks!
I'd be interested in doing some writing commissions about Daniel and Tennant for CSC. I'm happy to write to prompts or ideas that you want, and I also brainstormed a few prompts that I think might suit them:
A series of outsider POV vignettes through the eyes of coworkers, bystanders, and strangers exploring them and their relationship as seen by others.
Tennant confronts a client who is unwilling to pay. Said client assume the stoic bodyguard type standing behind the man with one arm is the only one he has to worry. He is very very, wrong.
Tennant meets with his wife for tea and gossip and plays it up like a schmoopy romance story for the waitress, immediately dropping out of character the second she's gone. Conchita is both amused and exasperated.
Daniel is having a bad depressive episode on what was supposed to be a date night, Tennant supports and comforts him.
If you're interested, let me know and I can PM you a writing sample. (Please ignore any writing on my or my pets' profiles, I've just returned from a years long hiatus and it's all embarrassingly old and kept up out of nostalgia.)
Hey there! I'm definitely interested and I like the sound of all the prompts you came up with as well. (The only one I'd be unsure about is the one with Conchita because I have so little information up about her to go by.) Honestly I'm not that fussy about samples either since they don't tell me much about how you'll write my characters, but sure, do PM me! Thanks!
I'd love to do art of these guys! If you want some wacky stuff, I could some faux manga-like poses! (Like them all peeking out from behind a pole, stars around them) I am interested in trying action fighting styles! My art looks like this:

and
I hope you'll consider me since I find your characters interesting! My prices range from 52,000 sp to nothing above a million!
do you have any songs that fit the themes you're looking for for any of the stories? I'd like to try to write something for you, not even looking to get paid I just want to practice and my own pets aren't giving me any inspiration lately. Here are some stories I've written in the past if any of the styles appeal to you
Hey there! I can only see one of the images but your art style looks neat, I'm definitely interested! You can go wild and do multiple if you want to.
Hi! I'd love it if you could write something for me and I don't mind paying you anyway.
As for songs, I don't have any that are really specific to a prompt, but I can toss you some that remind me of Daniel and Tennant? Aah, I probably have more but can't think of them right now.
I'm an idiot and just reread their bios to see that you have playlists for them =) Thanks!
ETA: Since "sin" is one of the prompts for Tennant, is he/was he ever religious?
Oh, yeah, I guess I have that too! I should update those sometime, haha.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Tennant is an atheist but he grew up gay in the bible belt, so his relationship with religion is fairly fraught. He will make (bitter) jokes about how he was always hellbound anyway and things like that, but he doesn't like talking about what he believed or how it made him feel. He acts like it never bothered him, but he at least went through the motions of trying to be "good" growing up (not deeply religious, but a "church is the center of the town's community" sort of situation) and genuinely believed his feelings were wrong and shameful. A youth minister he saw for years was one of the few kind adults he had in his life and he had a huge crush on him.
okay so here's the first thing I wrote, it's short but I hope I didn't take too much liberty with them.
Tennant
The real mistake, Tennant thought, was telling impressionable boys that God sent gays straight to hell. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not bother to phone a family member because they certainly aren’t going to help you out. He had heard Pascal’s Wager cited many times as a good reason to put faith in the almighty, but there was no point in making a bet when you didn’t have any chips.
“In for a penny in for a pound, eh?” He cocked his fist back for another swing. The young man who had decided it was his solemn duty to ‘fuck the fags’ didn’t answer, perhaps distracted by his broken jaw. Behind Tennant, Daniel busied himself patting down Fuck-The-Fag’s unconscious friend who had made the rather unwise decision to pull a knife on the pair.
“I asked you a question.” Tennant swung the left hook cheerfully. His fist met flesh that pressed into bone and left the kind of molten sting in his knuckles that reminded him in bright, almost erotic throbs what it meant to be alive. He followed the blow with a friendly kick to FTF’s chest that knocked the young man flat on his ass. “It’s only polite to give me an answer.”
The man’s whimpers could have been interpreted as an attempt to give Tennant just that, but Tennant had never been one for generous interpretations.
“Now there’s no need for that kind of language.” A well-placed stomp to the ribs and Tennant heard a bone pop like bubble wrap. He bent down and grabbed FTF’s lapels. “So what have we learned today?”
FTF groaned.
“That’s right, it doesn’t pay to be rude to strangers.” Tennant gave FTF’s distended jaw three strong, loving pats before taking the wallet out of the man’s jacket and straightening up. He dusted off his shirt and turned to Daniel, who had waited patiently for him to finish. Tennant fussed momentarily with his boyfriend’s hair, smoothing it back into place and kissing him on the cheek. “Now let’s get that beer. First round on him.”
Tennant gave one fond parting kick to FTF before taking Daniel’s hand. Together, they went back out into the night.
Oh, hey, thank you!

I really liked it! The description was very good and I feel like the prose suited him really well. In general I'd prefer to avoid slurs (even with his beating the crap out of the offender) but other than that it's cool.
