Hello everyone,

Just a little question towards my fellow zappers, does the pet zapper still change gender? If so, just how rare is it? I've been zapping Kaori for ages and although it's fun to see what happens since I'm not aiming towards a certain species/color yet I am really holding out for that gender change. Can someone confirm it's still a possibility?

When I was zapping Squiddo, she never once changed gender and it took me months to get an Experiment . If it is possible at all--which I doubt--I'm gonna say the chances are so slight you might as well just sell the Tokens and get a Sex Berry.

I am 99% sure it doesn't change gender. I've also zapped a lot (using the normal option, not the experiments only, of course) and never gotten a gender change.

I haven't gotten a single gender change ever since the site phased out the v1 zapper, so it's safe to say that gender no longer changes from zapping.

I also haven't ever gotten a gender change from the One True Zapper / Experiment-giving Zapper. The v1 would give me gender changes back when it was around, but that seems to be a feature that was exclusive to it, and it was phased out along with the v1.

If you want to change the gender of an existing pet, the Sex Berry and Genderless Berry are your two options. You can also adopt Nonbinary / Genderless Cadogre and Endeavor during the Masquerade event, and all pets created as Steamwork will have a custom Steamwork gender symbol.

Before they changed the zapper, it was super common to get gender changes. After the change, I've never ever gotten a gender zap. I think maybe we should double check with the staff. Either the coding was messed up, or they intentionally removed the gender change from the zapper but forgot to tell us.

I always hated the gender changes from the zapper. Might be that I'm weird but I couldn't stand looking at my Pets and see like "Natascha the MALE whatever" and my genderless Pets I couldn't zap at all and it annoyed me so I was really happy when they (hopefully intentionally) took that stupid option down. If it ever comes back I'll riot. X'D

Thank you everyone. I'm a little upset it's no longer possible to change your pets gender through the Pet Zapper but I understand the issue some people might have had with it. I guess it's indeed time to hoard some tokens to sell them and purchase myself a gender berry. The tips and feedback were lovely.

You are welcome! I really think it's better as it is now. The zapper actually always let me end with the wrong gender after zapping so way back I spent A LOT more sP on Gender Berries than I do today. Good look with selling your Tokens and getting that Berry for your Pet!

UGH UGH UGH I hate that they removed gender. Mine's still stuck from the V1 and I've wasted so many tokens trying to get him back...

Pretty sure they put that option back when zapping. I know one of my zapper pets changed gender twice within the last.... week or so?

Yeah, gender swapping has been added back in. I know because now I have to buy a berry after it changed Winnie's gender right before zapping her into my goal colour lol.

Emlee has changed genders 4 times in 3 days. Luckily, she changed back to the right gender before I got a color I want to keep :D

I can also confirm that the Zapper once again gives out gender changes and they don't seem 'that' rare either.

I seem to get gender changes annoyingly frequently. Valys and Faerin swapped probably four or five times each before they hit a color I liked!
