Oh... Those are the same thing in my head :o What's the difference?

ponytail: a way of arranging hair by gathering it together at the back of the head and letting it hang down freely

pigtail: a length of hair that is tied at the back of the head or at each side of the head

i liek the first WIP better for a lot of resons: the bang style, the shape of the pigtails as they come over the chest, the overall shape... my main critique as that it could be pretty hard to layer with the hair covering the HA's right (our left) shoulder - maybe instead of the hair coming IN to cover that side of the chest, have it coming away from it? also, i can see there might be some potential perspective issues, namely the hair part seems intended to be in the middle but it actually veers off to (our) left i can't say yet if i'd be interested in picking up a version of this wig cos of how rough it is currently, but i think i'd be able to say so more definitively as it's finalized!

1 - The first one, the way the hair falls around the face feels more natural to me 2 - Sadly long wigs are not my cup of tea, I find it hard to work with any hair that falls below the shoulders, so unfortunately I wouldn't be slotting. 3 - It took my awhile to notice where the hair was tied for the pigtails, maybe make the hair ties just a teeny bit bigger?

That was actually super helpful because I wasn't thinking on how hard it could be for layering. I usually avoid wigs that cover the chest much, but since I'm comission this one to be somewhat of a tribute, I think that I ignored that detail for a little and I should super consider it! Thank you ;-;

Also, do you think that the hair failling on the left HA shoulder is okay or will also be a pain to layer? ;-;

I like the first one better personally. The second feels too wide, in my opinion. If you want to have the wider pigtails, make the rest of the hair less, in the lower untied part, and perhaps put a gap in there near where they tie. The bangs feel like they fit better in the first, though perhaps the second does them better towards the middle of the forehead. there's something slightly odd about how it falls around the shoulders, since the pigtails are farther back on the head but come in front, plus unbound hair from even farther back is in front of the shoulder, but...I can't quite put my finger on what bothers me, nor on how to fix it.

I think the first one is adorable, and actually I /love/ that color, though I am looking for different types of styles in it, not one like this so much. The style idea itself is lovely, but I don't think I can justify buying one.

i think that one should be fine! generally if you have one shoulder covering vs both (with long hair) it's at least manageable and can lead to some rly cute looks
