Ok so I've phased in and out of being active here on Subeta over the years, but now I'm super out of the loop on the pricing for artwork. lol I have an idea of how my work prices USD-wise but I'm not sure what the range is for the site currency. I'd really appreciate the help!

To convert USD into CSC/sP:

$1.00 = 100 CSC 100 CSC = about 10-12m sP it looks like, it fluctuates a lot.

Art here tends to go for 500-1000 CSC and you can charge USD as well as long as on-site currency is still a payment option.

Your art looks fantastic, I'd say definitely charge at least 500 CSC for lineart, and additional cost for coloring, shading, and extra details. I think the price will also depend on things like size and complexity of the work. So I would say, start by converting the USD amount you already have into on-site currency, and increase it according to the demands of each individual piece. :) Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! Glad to know there's an easy guide of sorts haha And thank you for the compliment! ❤️

Yeah my one concern is that once I start adding more work into commissions with color, shadows, etc that my prices will drastically increase. Have you seen people drop some pretty pennies on commissions here on Subeta, or should I keep in mind of a range so to speak to keep it realistic for the crowd here?

To my knowledge, work here is generally underpaid, so you should do it because you enjoy doing it and sharing your art, and think of the payment as more of a tip than anything else :/ Others may disagree... But that's kind of been my experience, with both coding and art commissions on here, is that you will not get anywhere near what you would charge a client IRL for it.

You can probably raise to a few thousand CSC, however, if you start smaller and build up a good reputation here. I would start with more affordable/commonplace prices, and then, if people like your work, start offering larger/more detailed work for higher costs, and maybe try to auction off a high-quality commission and see what people are willing to pay. Good luck!

Hey there. I see you already got the conversion rates so I won't repeat that(saves you from having to read the same thing twice haha).

I can vouch for people who would pay higher amounts of csc, sp USD for more detailed pieces as I have dealt with it before. If they like the style enough they will pay the money! Another thing is whether the artist is reliable. I find that putting yourself out there to be the best idea and giving great service. People like approachable artists! Perhaps you can start with images up to the base colors and see what people would pay? Art Auctions are another thing although I am not sure how active that particular forum is anymore.

As the other user said 500csc(the equalivalent of $5 USD) for linework is a good place to start and depending on complexity you could increase the price. For colored images I would suggest an auction or ask for offers and if you are happy with them then by all means.

Good luck and you have lovely artwork!
