Ok, so I'd love for you to do my character, Twigs!

Type: Human full body

Species: Forest sprite

Personality: Mischievous, prankster, a bit of a loner, adventurous and independent. His story in a nutshell: He lives in the forest but is prone to wandering and exploring on his own. The other sprites see him as a bit of a show-off, someone who can't be taken seriously. One day he set off for a hike and never came back. His kin searched for him for days but could never find him, and eventually gave Twigs up as gone or dead. While hiking, Twigs had come upon a waterfall. Sprites normally don't like the water, but he heard a gentle humming coming from the other side, so he braved the cold and wet and stepped through. Behind the waterfall was a beautiful clearing unlike any part of the forest he'd ever seen. In the very center, on a little hill that was surrounded by massive trees, lush bushes, and flowers in full bloom, was a golden sapling. But instead of leaves, it had golden coins dangling from its branches. Twigs was immediately entranced, and he found he couldnt stop staring at the coins. Even though he knew he was gone for hours and his friends would be worried, he just couldn't tear himself away. He was afraid someone else would discover this treasure and claim it for their own. So he vowed to stay and guard over it, lest another came to take the golden coins from him. And that's where he remained forever; sitting under that golden sapling, staring at the shiny coins, with a far-off look and a smile on his face.

Reference: Click Description: Everything is pretty much there. You don't have to be 100% accurate with the reference, as long as any creative decisions you make fit with the general feel of his story + character :) But I am definitely open to your interpretation and creativity!

I'd really like to include the golden tree with its dangling coins, and some kind of bg elements to reference that he's in a forest. I'm happy to pay extra for more detail, as I'll be using this for my main pet profile images - so just let me know!

It depends on where you live, but as mentioned above it would be the postage cost + $5. The finished work would be approximately 10x12" for a human full body, and about 8x10" for a bust or quad.

Seriously love it, the whole golden tree sounds straight out of a myth, and his design is beautiful. I'd love to include extra trees in the back ground to really convey the foresty feel, maybe also the waterfall he came through and the flowers + foliage. We can talk about the price once the sketch is finished. c:

My only pet peeve on her is the stripes. She has 5 on each ear, 4 on her snout, one of each forepaw and 2 for the back paws. I look forward to your work! I am going to be moving soon into a house so I have been dying to get a physical piece to frame and hang up.

If you're looking to get it framed, 8x10" is a little on the small side (however it is a standard framing size and you'd be able to buy a frame no problem). For extra $ I can go bigger if you'd like, it's up to you though!

Can I make a teensy request for the colour palette? I don't want to stifle your creativity, so feel free to make your own choices, but I had pictured very 'moody' colours for the background and lighting - kind of like it was sunset/twilight, so the gold really pops (like purples, pinks and navy), and dull/muted colors for Twigs. I'm not a fan of bright color schemes in general, so if you CAN accommodate this then fantastic! If not, totally ok :) I'd rather you do something you're happy with too.
