Holy carp, you guys.

In the five years I've been on site, I've never, ever, ever seen the Pound empty. And yet, today it is! Yay for all the re-homed pets!

I remember how many pets used to be in there. While I kind of miss randomly browsing pet names, I'm kind of thrilled to see (I know, they're just pixels, but gimme a break) that every pixelated pet in Subeta has a home at this moment.

It's been empty on and off for the past... 2 or 3 days? A pet pops in every now and then, but it doesn't take long for it to get adopted.

Ah, good point, I've seen it with two or three pets the last few days, but I guess I never saw it in an empty state until today.

Yeah, right? Love them petslots. So does everyone else, clearly.

I think I'm too used to seeing the poor pets named 23189078fdshjskljui and STICKYFACE linger in there for ever, I'm just so surprised to see every single pet adopted.

It is awesome! xD But it does bum me and a friend out a bit because we like to ghost through the pound and see if we can spot any nice names. Not much to do if it's empty, but hey! Could be worse. Like you've said, could be filled with 50+ poorly named pets.

Samus, Freakish, and Kurse are all pets of mine that came from the adoption center back when it was packed. It used to be so full of so many cool pets! I'm glad I snagged them then, and I'm glad to see the place isn't jammed full of badly named pets now. Honestly though, I'm betting it won't take long for another person to get bored and start making pets just to abandon them, which is what was happening awhile back. :/ Leave it empty folks! No pets to adopt/creating your own to keep are both better than going to adopt and only seeing "CashMeOussideHowBouDat" in the pound.

I'm a little disappointed because I have open slots right now and no immediate plans for names haha, but it's nice to see the lack of random names too

I also have snagged loved pets from the pound, and miss the fun of lurking through pet names to see if there are any good ones.

But yeah, I too would gladly trade emptiness for a bunch of sad nonsense names. There was that one brilliant pet spotlight profile about the numbered pet a while ago, but in general I wonder if people adopt those poor pets specifically to change their names or if they live with those names forever.

Some things were implemented to prevent single users from spamming the adoption center with pets iirc, so maybe those changes helped to make it empty :)

... Dang. :x Might've been kind of nice to tell the users about this? I know why it was added, but I'd like to know what this is about. Is there a time limit between pounding pets, or something?

I don't know the details but there's a pound ban if you pound too many pets in a certain amount of time. I'm not sure if this is a temporary thing? My guess is that it is though. This was implemented during the gabbogabbo incident I think. There are now also logs for who creates a pet so if they immediately pound it, UAs can figure out who made it :)

That's when the logs were added I think! Usually inappropriate names aren't a problem on Subeta, and when it is, it's very rare. That's why there haven't been logs until now

nghhh yeah i totally agree like, it's nice knowing there are no homeless pixel babs anymore but also?? lurking the ac was super fun back in the day ; u ; my egoist, miki, folie, blac and ell were all ac finds hah

though i also used to adopt pets and then pound them right after to get certain color achievements lmao.........

I loved stalking that place :( I got so many pets from there, it being empty takes the fun away :(
