Unable to turn off full avatars in user prefs

I'm trying to optimise my forum browsing by not displaying everybody's HAs in full, by toggling the Enable/Disable for 'Show Full Avatars in Forums' - neither options seems to change anything. Full avatars are currently displayed.
On a related note, the "Force item preview hover to show hex" option isn't working either. I enabled it about an hour ago, and there's no change. I have two viruses on right now (one progressing, and one unlocked) but neither shows up.
Are either of you still having trouble?
- The hex issue has been fixed, but the toggle for full avatars still doesn't work as far as I can tell.
The "Show Full Avatars in Forums" option should be working again :)

- It seems to be working.
I'm a little surprised because I thought it was supposed to just show headshots, and it's completely removing avatars instead, so that was unexpected. Either way, it's doing something now when it was nonfunctional before so I guess we're good. :D
Oh whoops I may have misunderstood. xD
I figured it was just supposed to remove it since said it decreases loading time. Headshots still load the entire avatar image, so it wouldn't help there. But I will double-check on this and who knows it might change to headshots in the near future :o

- It's been broken for so long I can't even remember. :P I can see how removing HAs completely would help in 's case though, so maybe leave it like it is and just change the wording? ("Display avatars" rather than "Display full avatars")
Yeah I had it disabled from a long time ago and I was confused why all avatars had disappeared along with the heart avatar button xD The option definitely used to only change it to headshots, not remove it completely. But I guess it should be all or nothing, especially when trying to cut down on loading things/potentially using mobile data etc.

Whoa... This works now? I had changed the option this morning in the hopes that it would help with the lag situation, but nothing happened. Now I've come home to no HAs at all and no hearts :( I guess I'll have to turn them back on and suffer through the lag?
You can toggle the option if you want to see HAs again.
I will be checking to see if we can make this multiple options (one to show headshots, one to hide completely) as that might be a good in-between solution. For now I guess this is a little better than previously (when it did nothing at all)
However, showing headshots instead of full avatars wouldn't help with lag or use less data, if that's why you turned on the preference. When you see a headshot, it actually is loading the full image, but only showing you a section of it. It is actually slightly worse since it also has to load the headshot coordinates, not just the avatar image.
