I know that while I'm not alone in this, we might be in the minority-- but I'd personally love to be able to frag currencies again. Namely, you've probably guessed it, Candy Hearts.

From what I understand the Currency/155 rarity was added to eliminate the possibility of accidentally fragging items you might not mean to, especially while or after questing- wiz tokens, subq invites, etc! I don't know how hard it would be to implement (or if there would be interest in doing so), but I'd love to see a drop down menu, a tick box, or something that would allow the inclusion/visibility of currencies (potentially more/other rarities) in the fragging selection page. That way they aren't able to be melted by mistake, since it wouldn't be the default, but still could be by choice.

i know you two were interested in fraggin currencies again too!!

okay so I read this as recycle beast, which is a thing we want to have currencies (candy hearts + wizard tokens I believe are what we have tagged right now) to pop up in. (in short for those curious if currencies will pop back up in RB: yes! We want to get a few more new items going in there first to entice you to part with your lovely items, and perhaps not test the fates of having tokens or something requested during a holiday on our servers but we are planning on having them show up again)

BUT REGARDING CRYSTAL SHOP

I'm very very hesitant for this. We'd have to add new programming to the shop to work out the menu you want to do and to be honest, people will still end up fragging things they didn't want to (tokens, etc). We currently have plenty of things you can frag from ( and I have made almost all the rarities fraggable at this point!), I'd rather the low currencies go out via RB points where it's a bit harder to get (if you don't want to part with your sP every day)

okay sidelining my own board and all but super interested/excited about the upcoming recycle beast changes!! thank you guys for that <3

BUT! It's absolutely true that there's REALLY no shortage of things to frag for crissals, and honestly without knowing anything about subeta's backend (or programming in general, ngl) i wasn't sure whether or not this would be a big overhaul of the way the crystal shop works when taking items to melt. PLUS I totally understand wanting to have currencies go a different way than being fragged. The update didn't mention if it was specifically for any reason other than the accidental meltings, so I figured maybe it was worth a shot to bring it up! c:

There's a lot of things you can fragmentize nowadays, I don't see potlatch as necessary.

I liked being able to frag currencies because it was a lot easier to get them with minimal effort + I am lazy.

I also really miss being able to frag candy hearts. They could be fragged at anytime versus trying to wait for the recycle beast to ask for them, which is a big thing for me. Waiting for the beast to want them just encourages hoarding, which I thought the site was trying to move away from?

As far as accidentally fragging other currencies, I don't see why it needs to be the site's responsibility to make sure people don't do that? Then again, I'm personally the type who sorts through my things before I do any sort of mass fragging. Rarely I have more than 50 items in my inventory since I'm a stinker about keeping my stuff organized...

The best way to be happy with someone is to be happy alone. That way, company is a matter of choice and not a necessity.

I don't think it's difficult to sell candy hearts, or trade them for crystals with somebody. (For instance, me. I have a ton of crystals and would love to trade for somebody's hearts, lol.)

I haven't seen anyone ask on the forums about that, but like if you made a thread saying you wanted to trade your candy hearts for crystals, I wouldn't be the only one to respond... right?

Hoarding isn't my concern here for currencies with recycle beast. With the Recycle Beast, and I can cycle in currencies as we see fit. Wizard tokens very very cheap right now? Let's have it pop up in the RB. Candy Hearts expensive? Let's make them not pop up in the RB for a bit. The flexibility is nice. Crystal Shop, we don't have that kind of control and when we're discussing currencies, that's important.

I wouldn't mind this being a completely optional thing that you had to specifically enable....

However, I personally wouldn't like currencies being added back into the frag pool. I end up going to the fragger a ton of times throughout the day (I do this between quests so that I'm moving fewer items to my shop and thus don't have as many items to price at the end of the day). Since I'm usually fragging quest rewards, I'm usually super careful about knowing what I have in my inventory.... but times like these mean that I'm getting stuff at completely random times via other people. If I'm buying up something to frag though and have 60+ of it, I generally just select it all and frag. If currencies were fraggable in this instance I'd be losing them or spending extra time double checking so unless we had an option to toggle on/off direct depositing them into our currencies as we receive them, I don't think I'd ever want it back as a standard thing.
