After a few years away, I have returned to subeta and my poor starving pets. Years ago, I wrote a few of them stories to go on their profiles, and over the last couple of days I've been editing bits and pieces on each of them. The one I've focused most on is Blue, and I've gone over her story a little but I'm just not making any progress in continuing or ending it. If anyone has any ideas, motivation or inspiration for me, that would be incredible as I feel like I've hit a brick wall.
There's also Nintendaddict which years ago I felt was nearly finished, but I've not done much to his yet so excuse any weirdness haha.
Thanks in advance to anyone who reads anything of mine! Please let me know what you think!
Aww... I just read Blue's story, and ahhh my heart. I think it's a really well-written story, first of all, and also a really interesting idea to write about. I love how the idea of pet colors is subverted with Blue's story. I like when she's talking about how people stereotype pets based on their colors - it's a pretty original thing to write about here, and it also gives Blue a lot of characterization as someone who defies stereotypes and expectations. I like the subversion of the green project too - I think Blue's story has a lot of potential to show us that things are never black and white, and that things are also not always what they look like...
I liked the bit of humor you introduced with the sweetheart bovyne story... though I couldn't help but feel really bad for Blue. In fact, the only thing I'd suggest is to give Blue's story a hopeful ending... because her backstory is actually really heartbreaking. She's always an outcast, always fending for herself, and even though it was wrong to steal from Esther, you still sympathize because of her circumstances.
So for inspiration, maybe I could ask you... Where does Blue go from here? What does she do every day in the centropolis gardens? Will she ever leave this place to find a better home?
I was thinking, it's a long way from there, but maybe Blue would find a good friend in the Recycle Beast. After all, the Recycle Beast likes trash as well, and is also not exactly what he looks like - he's a beast, and some might say he looks scary, but he actually seems very kind-hearted. I don't know what the recycle beast's story is, but it could be that he is some sort of misfit as well... And the recycling could be a good metaphor to tie in... like, making something good out of the bad. Like, even though Blue had some unhappiness in her past, she can make a brighter future for herself from it... Is that too cheesy?
Anyway, those are my thoughts... Good luck with your writing :)

Aww thank you! I'm glad you like her story so far, that's given me some more motivation to finish it! The Recycle Beast is a really good idea, I never thought of him! I think Blue would love it there, she might even find some of her old trash that she adored... Thank you for your help! <3
[edit] I carried on writing, and although I really intended to include the Recycle Beast, the story just seemed to write itself! It's still a happy ending, I'd really like to know what you think of it if you don't mind having another quick read!
