i checked 'preferences' and i do have it enabled. i'm still seeing the bad words, not the filter words. a minor complaint, but still...

I can verify this as well over the last few days or so ^^.
With the bad word filter enabled you can see the bad words in user shop names, forum posts, ect. Not a big deal but it would be nice to see the filter words again please. Thank you kindly ^^.

The filter was broken, and filtering words for people who didn't have it on. It got disabled for everyone some weeks ago. Don't know if there are any plans to bring it back or not.

I hope it does come back for people who want/need it, but it needs to work right. I don't want to see censored words when I've never had the filter enabled. It also messed with items names, since it would censor ANY instance of a word it checked for. So items with "Cocktail" in the name would get filtered to "Roostertail", for example.

i know what the filter did. the altered item names made me laugh.

Kinda frustrating trying to read the comments sections on news posts and seeing the F word pop up unexpectedly and repeatedly. Some people REALLY don't like having to be exposed to that particular word. And Heaven forbid there be a small child anywhere near me when that happens...

Looks like this is currently intentional and not a bug. :)
