back from hiatus and i'm trying to get my pet back into battling, but i've forgotten a lot and i see that recommended weapons now are REEEEEEALLLY expensive. he's going to approach T6 soon and i want to know what inexpensive alternatives are out there for him. i only have about 100mil to spend on equipment, and if it was even cheaper that would be great.
i have right now equipped: 2x and DD, CE, SS & Perilous Whirlpool for scrolls but my guy still seems to be extremely squishy,
i can definitely make as i seem to have stashed away the reborn wand before leaving so thats not even coming out of my 100mil :)
If you can't get a trident vs replica minotaur knocker those would probably be the 2 best weapons to pair up with the RFwoD, you might consider just grabbing a decent attacker and waiting until tier 7 to pick up a arrow harpoon
Otherwise I think the next most important long term purchase would be reviver of the lion. On a budget, STS and RV are overrated as "staples". They are some of the best at what they do, but the only thing they do is help against low HP, high damage, No heal opponents, like CE the torrmented.

The reborn icewand is good to have and will be a staple for your T6
My default set for T6 is Replica Minotaur Knocker, Frozen Ocean Curl, Phoenix Quill, Reviver Of The Lion, Rainbow Vortex, Deluxe Death Shard, Soma Tablets, Recycle Blaster. Your reborn icewand can be used instead of the ocean curl and the gorgun can be used instead of the deluxe death shard. I would pick up an reviver of the lion down the road when you get the chance as two healers can help a lot. The rainbow vortex and soma tablets are also non critical but they do make battling a lot easier. can be very useful but there is a small chance that it will block nothing so be aware of that. Other weapons that can be useful are and
The minotaur knocker is nice to have because it scales with your pet and is one of the few T6 weapons that offers a consistent heal. It may be cheaper to complete the bobblehead collection to get this weapon.
perilous whirlpools are a nice cheap alternative for freezing scrolls. cobalt eternals and sancturia exodin scrolls are also nice. I would definitely get an infinite use scroll. The aftershocks scroll is very useful and it appears the price is starting to go down again.
first of all and , thank you for taking the time to reply.
i looked at my bobbleheads and if the 2012 are the default collection i'm only sinking 29mil to finish my collection versus 56mil at shop prices for the minotaur knocker. not bad.
RoTL is currently 62mil in the antique shop which is also doable. these seem to be the most promising things i can buy so i will likely pursue them.
i'm also somewhat confused about scrolls. i understand infinite vs OPB, but i didn't know you could have the same scroll equipped twice??? i can see that being useful. i already own one cobalt eternal, but sancturia exodin and aftershocks i do not have. how would you set up your ideal scrolls for T6?
i'm afraid i'm not terribly good at battling and i obviously need to read more, but with my equipment and dumb luck i seem to be about at being able to not beat those considered very hard, which seems to be about where a T5 is, maybe a little behind.
You can equip multiple OPB scrolls but only one each of the infinite use scrolls. You also wouldn't want multiple copies of the same infinite use scroll, that would just be silly. You can equip multiple SE and CE scrolls, you just need to have enough AP. My scrolls were dependent on my opponents. The infinite use scroll I used was mostly aftershocks, but sometimes I switched to skelly scroll for more healing. Percent healers are always super useful. My scrolls for him were either aftershocks with a few perilous whirlpool or aftershocks with a few SE or CE scrolls. even now at T7 he still will always have an infinite use scroll with several OPB scrolls. As he goes up in tiers and up in intelligence, I will start to equip him with things like gift of the forj, psycho smasher and shriek of despair.
The more you battle, the easier it becomes. You start to get a feel for what works and what doesn't work. I have a spreadsheet created for all the battle challengers and what tier my pets are/were when the beat them. At tier 5, I got up to 10 wins on all the hard challengers except for pete, and mechalag. I got up to 5 wins for both of them, mostly just because I had weapons that do more damage at T6 so battles would go faster, but you could probably get more wins at T5 if you just kept at it. All of the very hard opponents I didn't start beating until T6.
Scrolls don't really matter by tier, it matters pretty much purely by AP
You want the best attacker/healer you can afford, probably Aftershocks or Ocean Current or Divine Denizen (more defensive, but solid in lower tiers) . Then load up on as many Morosbane, Gift of the Forj, Psycho Smasher, Cobalt Eternal, Sancturian Exodia, Shreik of despairs as you can find/afford/fit.
Some people say to get some other OPB scrolls, I think the list I gave is pretty much comprehensive though. I don't think perilous whirlpool or fatal fire scrolls are worth it.
