It's definitely not worth the price tag as a weapon imho. As a wearable it might be an entirely different matter :P There are indeed better and more affordable weapon choices for T4-5, and I personally think you should not invest tens of millions into weapons for T4-5 because you'll outgrow them very quickly and there are much better options when you hit T6-7 and potentially beyond. The only weapons worth investing more than a few millions in at lower tiers are those that scale.

I highly recommend the Weapon Guide by Tiers in the Battle Set subforum, or the Weapon guide in the helpful link sticky post where you can find better options at a much, much lower price.

Sorry to bother you a little more, but I heard that Ametsuchi is a legendary weapon and can be combined to use at better tire. Do it worth 30,000 RP? I don't see it as tire 5 recommendation.

@ EagleWing: Truth be told I've got two legendaries from the old days, Lucent and one from the token shop (ugh I forgot its name) but never actually touched them once my pet went above tier 8. Lucent is helpful against challengers susceptible to light damage, but there are dirt cheap weapons that can be equally good (Lightbulb nunchucks for example; Pls excuse any typo). The other one with wind damage I haven't touched at all, and is just sitting there looking pretty because I'm a hoard rat and cannot let go of my stuff.

Now there are circumstances in which those legendaries might be helpful, but as you go up in tiers healing and chunk-blocking become increasingly important. Those legendaries even when paired with sentinel don't provide impressive heal or good chunk block of any icons (5-7%? Heal - I stand corrected on this and a max of 10 icon block for two different icon types at a time). When you reach T10, Sentinel pales in comparison to Malerias Cursed Arm Bangle, and the heal you get from pairing other weapons with your infinite healing scroll is usually much better than legendary combo and sentinel and healing scroll combined.

Also at high tiers, opponents tend to be icon-biased, and deal a huge chunk of certain icon types, ranging from 10-60 or even more (sometimes up to 100 icons of a single type per weapon, and they use two weapons and potentially a scroll per turn :P). By that time you don't worry about stray icons that sentinel blocks, you worry about blocking large amount of certain icons, while being able to throw in some good damage too. If you battle long term and plan to go beyond tier 8-10, I'd say save yourself some headache and invest your sP in other weapons rather than the legendaries :P

So my advice is: if you've got Ametsuchi in your possession, keep it and use it until it becomes obsolete. Don't go out of your way to buy it. The reason why Ametsuchi is even in my wishlist is because I wish to use it for a combo for my pet's TC, not as a weapon :D
