There seems to be an influx of tv shows based on movies. Lethal Weapon and Limitless come to mind. For the first I haven't seen the movies so I didn't care about the tv show version and second one I just...didn't get around to watching as I already try and keep up with a lot of shows.

Have you seen any of those and what were they like?

Oh, Taken is now getting the tv show treatment. I'd like to know your opinions on how you think that will turn out. HERE is my opinion n.n

i read your review on taken and i tend to agree, i'm pretty sure, even though i too love liam in the movie versions i don't think i'll try the new one out..besides being no liam in it, just how far can it go with the same or near same preeminence as the original movie..i mean how many times can you save your daughter or wife or whatever, unless he'll be like a 'bounty hunter' of sorts or some type of search and rescue dude lol

...as for limitless i never seen the movie or the show, but i heard it wasn't picked up for a season 2 so i guess it's for the best of not wasting time on it lol

..lethal weapon..i rather enjoyed the movies and the comradely antics between gibson and glover (or murtaugh and riggs as they were called by most of the time) :) ..i was worried about the tv show doing it justice but i was pleasantly surprised ..i think damon wayans (who i've never been a super fan of) and clayne crawford (whom i'd never heard of) actually do a pretty righteous job of working together to pull it off ..and since they are cops/detectives both working on a beat every day it's easier to believe the fixes they can get into as partners :)

i guess in general for me it all depends the type of show and whether it's believable that it could go on and on ..but not so much if it's already 'hit a wall' ending as you say in a movie setting

That seems to be the general consensus. So it's like...why is this tv show being madeXD

Limitless was a good movie and the tv show focused on a new character. Some people have said that the show is better than they thought it would be but haven't seen many talk about it. The movie is based on a sci-fi short story or novel (can't remember which).

revs didn't like the idea of a tv show of Lethal Weapons at all. He treats it like Friends: if he sees it he has to change the channel to anything else.

So glad to hear it wasn't a total disappointment n.n

True. Westworld (on HBO) is a reimagining of sort of the movie of the same name. I was excited about that show because I do trust HBO to put out good content. Plus it wasn't a sequel or prequel just mostly taking the ideas of the movie (and some of the second if you believe in a certain theory like I do).

Understood. Once you are able to it's extremely well done with a lot of twists and turns. I would do a personality quiz of which character you are from Westworld but even after an entire season...still not certain about some charactersXD
