Hey there!
I am a brand new user here and I am just absolutely overwhelmed. I am working my way through the SubetaPedia and starting things off slowly, but goodness there is a lot of content on this site! I am a former Neopets user that left for...well, it seems like the same reasons everyone else did. I guess I just wanted to say hi and see if anyone else was as crazy overwhelmed as I am? I am super excited though - the content is gorgeous and the items are super unique. If anyone has any recommendations for user guides or things I need to read past the tutorial/forum "sticky-note" threads that would be amazing.
As for a some stuff about me... Well my username is Aelith, which means ascending! It also happens to be the name of my guitar. I have a habit of naming inanimate objects and getting overly attached. I binge-watch an unhealthy amount of television on a daily basis and play a bunch of video games. I am currently a freelance illustrator/clay artist and I work from home, which allows me to also be a part time student. I am really hoping to someday be a tattoo artist, but finding and apprenticeship is unbelievably tough in my current area.
I don't have any pets, but I would love a doggo. I am partial to beagles. :D I am not picky about music and have at least one favorite song in each genre that I am introduced to. I am an avid reader (currently reading the Dresden Files!!!!) and hope that I can find some like minded groups to chit chat with about my favorite authors/hobbies.
I look forward to meeting all of you, I am hoping for a more welcoming community here than I have met elsewhere.

We're so glad that you could join us, ! This forum's minimoderator has an excellent list of things to you to adjust the site and learn how we do things here. I do hope you've completed the tutorial, though as a Neo member, that part probably comes pretty intuitively to you!
Thank you so much ! I will check the list out. It has been a fairly easy process to transition in to things here, but I am glad there are some helpful people around. :D

Pumpky to the rescue with some useful links! Don't worry if it seems overwhelming at first, having lots to do is part of what keeps Subeta interesting :) We have a lot of Neo converts, most people like it here because they find we have a more mature community - so hope you like it here!
I really want to get a doggo too, but I've moved loads so I don't want to commit to a pet til I make sure I won't move countries again x)

If you have any other questions, feel free to just ask though :) Folks are pretty helpful here. We have a strict one account policy, so we don't experience 'trolls' anywhere the extend of some other sites :P
