Are we actually receiving any reward for playing 2048? Nothing seems to happen when pressing the send score button. During the plot, as far as I remember we needed to get a 512 tile?

You don't get sP or anything for playing it- It's just for fun. The only thing you can get is the achievement (which is for getting 2048) and as far as I know, that's what the send score button exists for, so you can submit your score for the achievement if you get 2048.

The achievement gives you a forum title, which is pretty cool.

I agree... I think it would be nice to even have the possibility of an exclusive item prize now and then. I personally disagree with staff's reasoning behind the rewards thing, but it's not a big deal - it's still a fun game and I'm glad they made it available for us to play again :)

IIRC There's no perfect strategy to win 2048, but a good simple strategy is to try and keep your largest number in one of the corners. For example, I try to keep mine in the top left corner - which means, for the most part, only using "up" and "left" arrow keys - and only using the other keys when it won't move that square out of the corner. Sometimes you lose the corner though and it's just luck as to if you can get it back again :o

Thanks for your advice! I'm not playing it seriously. I liked it, when it was introduced for the plot and had no big problem mastering that step. I just get hooked on those "disappearing" games like also Matlal's Jewels or Sutek's Tomb on Neo. I don't even want to think a lot, just get into a routine and it relaxes me immensely. Weird, I know :-)

Major Drills asks you to play it a lot and get a certain tile size, so I assume the send score button is for that as well.
