What do you guys study?

I'm a forensic biology major, headed into my senior year. Let the insanity begin!

I am doing film studies, just starting my second year of uni. ^o^ Loved it this far even thought I did realise during my first year that I am not as academic as I would've have hoped after all.

It absolutely is, and I love it! Although I'm not going to lie, the 3 hour labs are a killer, and I usually have three labs a semester. And the program has seen its share of ups and downs, from my previous advisor leaving abruptly before the start of my sophomore year, leaving us advisorless for a year. Thankfully we got a new advisor last year who knows what she's doing and made significant improvements to the program; unfortunately, that means I'll be there another semester, but oh well.

That sounds exciting! I'm glad you're enjoying it. What do you enjoy the most about it?

I bet it's hard work! Ugh for silliness with the advisor, but glad they got someone to get things done.

And ahh, film studies is really just my thing. I love diving into details, and love learning to see the full picture. I love the film history courses so much, it's so interesting to see the route to how we see films today, and also how much society ties into films. First year we didn't have any choice with our modules, but now I am looking forward to this years modules, they are so interesting!

It was a bit rough for awhile, but I think it all worked out for the best. I'm especially glad to not have to take forensic entomology anymore; I'm not a bug person at all lol.

That sounds amazing, I don't think my college offers anything like that, but then again we are a pretty small school. Good luck with everything this year!

A college/uni group sounds great! I'm a uni student too but a lot of my classmates are a good 5 years younger than me so it's a little tricky to form close knit friendships because we're vastly into different things!
