Recently life has been life and I have been doing what I can to barely stay afloat.

Met my boyfriend on Xbox in August. Started dating in September. He lives in the UK and I am in the US. UGH!

Christmas I bought him the perfect gifts, they got lost during shipping. FML.

Opted to custom make one for valentines day....(ready for the icing!?) Get news today he has cancer in his esophagus and he cant get an operation since it spread to his lymph nodes....

I want to spend my life with this man. I feel lost. Helpless. Wasted. SO! I need artwork. Anything helps, anything will help him be happy. Any questions are perfectly fine with me.

Details: He is a red fox. Classic with blackish tips, he is new to fur-dome so nothing exotic on his character. I am a black wolf with orange underbelly, pad paws and two orange slashes on my right cheek, blue eyes. I need a couples picture. AS romantic as possible. NO RESTRICTIONS. This man has my heart and I want to give him everything that I possibly can.

hey there, just a concerned fellow subeta player here. I'm also an artist, but I won't take money from somebody who wants to buy art from outside of their means, and nor will I make art for free. I've also been a longtime frequenter/lurker of the Issues and Advice and I'm sorry that I'm bringing up stuff that is honestly none of my business. If you don't like what I say I will not bring any of this up again, but I feel that I should bring up my concerns at least this one time.

I hope you don't get defensive here, but given the limited information of your story here, I'm worried about your situation. I don't know what you talked to him about, how often you were in contact, if you got more ways to contact him through besides xbox... if you know his real name, facebook profile, face to face video chat with him... more irl stuff like that. You seem very very attached to him although you've known him for less than half a year (and that's fine, some people have faster attachment habits than others). You mentioned buying this guy presents that got lost during shipping (though I'm not sure if it's him telling you he never got it, or if your shipping service actually physically lost the package, which in case they are reliable for)... but you didn't mention him getting you anything. Come Valentines, he tells you that he is basically in a terminal illness condition (no mention of which stage this cancer is in, though metastasis implies a fairly late and terminal stage). Obviously I don't know if he's shared medical details with you, or actual medical records (it seems unlikely for a relationship of less than a year to be at that kind of level)... and I don't know what you've shared with him that wasn't a two-sided, healthy, mutual thing. Yes, it's not really my business, so it's not like I should know.

I'm not trying to point fingers here, but I hope you understand why I am bringing this up and why I find this concerning. The internet is not always a very nice place, especially gaming circles... I've had my fair share of run-ins with unpleasant and nasty dudebros who have various malicious intentions, especially to women who they claim are infiltrating their mancave spaces (cough gamergaters). I'm not implying your boyfriend is that kind of guy, but given the hole-ridden information I have, I my judgment says that's a possibility. Yes I would feel awful what you're saying is actually true and your boyfriend doesn't have any ill intentions towards you, but I would feel worse if somebody bad is going on and I didn't say anything about it. You've known this guy for less than half a year and you "want to give him everything that [you] possibly can" - this makes me feel very worried about you.

I check my subeta about once a day, but if you want to chat it up privately, my pm box is open. There's also the Issues and Advice forums, for more opinions than just my own. The issues/advice boards are full of kind, good, and concerned people.

I completely understand. I am not being catfished. We have Skype and done several couple things from a distance. I think we spend about 15 hours a day on the phone, or generally speaking with each other. We have a pretty quick attachment. I believe most of it is because we've both been though the same crap and finally found someone with the same mentality towards relationships and we definitely both have a goal set out for where we believe the relationship will go.

The package got lost on its way to me. I have contacted the seller and they refunded me due to the item no longer being available.

As for his illness, he was just diagnosed on the 23rd. They're still running tests for him to see if he is compatible for the pill they give to breast cancer patients. His tumor spread to the lymph nodes from his esophagus so he is no longer eligible for surgery. His only options is the pill or chemo. The pill has a higher success rate of working so we are pulling for that.

He has gotten me gifts for Christmas and already has some sent out for Valentines Day. I just feel like I am not doing enough. I am terrified to lose him.

As for updated info, I am flying out to see him as soon as possible. Basically its waiting on a passport application and possible visa. This might not be a happily ever after, but its the closest that I've ever gotten to one.

I appreciate your concerns Chen. I really do and I am thankful you brought them up. I have thought about them as well, when we first started talking and since then things are a lot more open. Before this bad news, we made plans to transfer his job to the branch in America and start our life together. We've done so many nights of research on his moving here and applying for a citizenship and everything that entails. So this is pretty legit.

I'm sorry to hear about the tough times. My art shop is Here and I do have more examples here and here. Technically this was my furry art blog but I didn't really use it.

I do have a mostly unused FA as well, here is the link. (My commission prices are the ones in my thread I linked above, unless you'd rather pay something from that really old graphic but I honestly can't remember which is like. More expensive so.)

I'd prefer to do USD commissions, especially if you're looking to get them by Valentine's Day, it seems? I am also open to doing part USD/CSC if you're looking to do a few or something like that.
