Has anyone else started watching this yet? I'm only on the 3rd episode (I'm very slow lol), but the series is already doing a great job of capturing the essence of the books! Much better than the movie adaptation from a while back.

Anyway, let's discuss! o3o

I haven't started watching it yet, but it seems very promising from the trailer! I particularly like the choice of actors. There is supposed to be two episodes per one book, am I right?

Yes, I love the actors too! Everyone does such a great job. When I first heard it was Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf, I was a bit skeptical. Not because I questioned his acting abilities or anything (he's great), but just because I've never seen him in a role like this before, but so far I love him! He's just the right mix of funny and creepy. haha And yeah, it's 2 episodes per book, so the first season covers the first 4 books. :3

Lol it's been years since I've watched the movie, but even though it wasn't totally up to par in my opinion, I enjoyed it as well. xD I'm a diehard Jim Carrey fan though, so I'm sure that's a good portion of the reason I still liked it so much.

It's nice to see it getting good reviews. I liked the movie with Jim Carrey but hopefully this one is even better. :3

I already watched all 8. (I actually thought there were more so the season ending really snuck up on me!)

What am I supposed to do now? ><

I finally finished the season! The universe did not want me to finish apparently, because I got busy with work, and then we ended up losing internet at our house for a couple of days so no netflix. lol

Anyway, it was great. Ugh. I already wish season 2 was here. ;^;

I haven't read the books, but watching the first season made me want to buy the series and read it. Which I guess was Barnes & Noble's plan, because now they're advertising the books on Facebook.

I liked the movie a lot better, maybe because I haven't read the first 3 books. I started at book 4 haha weird, but that's the first time I came across the series (when I read book four years ago when I went to the library). Loved the series ever since though I'm still on book 9 lol. But, the Netflix show isn't too bad. Neil Patrick Harris is hilarious as Count Olaf.

I love it. There might be a few chances that confuse me but otherwise it is really close to the book IMHO. The actors are great and Count Olaf is properly hate-able as he should be. X3
