so who else has set up a RetroPie system for playing older games?
Just got ours up and running yesterday
Currently setting a second one up as an OSMC Kodi machine
My husband got one in December and has been playing Chrono Trigger nonstop. I had so many friends complaining about not being able to get the Nintendo Classic system around Christmas and told them all about the RetroPie system.
I just recently heard about these! Me and my boyfriend are considering having his brother set us one up. We wanted a Nintendo Classic, but they have been impossible. That is when his brother told us he just set one of these up and has a ton of games on it. We will most likely get one set up for us to use. :> They sound amazing.
I didn't even know it was possible to game on a Raspberry Pi. O.o Wow.

check out RetroPie
its at least a pretty simple install. I would suggest that you may want to look at a larger than 8gb sd card for reasons that I cannot discuss here
I also found that RetroPie comes setup so you can transfer files across the network (my OSMC Raspberry Pi needed me setup an additional program for that)
Oh! Oh, that's cool.

I don't personally have one, but my cousin got one. When all of us cousins got together on Christmas Eve, we reminisced with Gamecube games we used to play when we'd hang out at our grandma's house. It was great playing games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Kirby Air Ride again!
I have a memory card setup for retropie, but I mostly use my pi as a netbook with a Motorola Lapdock.
It's a bit limiting, but useable.
